“Good prices for timber and a good selection however delivery was a day late and no communication from them, had to call them at the end of the day to find out what was happening with my delivery. Website is a bit confusing for sizes and quantities of certain items.”

“Went into the shop on a Wednesday to buy 18 sheets of plasterboard with cash. The guy told me how much and said its £20 local delivery but wouldn't be till the following week. I told him it was only £10 delivery online, he said I know, everyone keeps telling me. I asked if it could go to £10 he said no. So I went and deposited the cash into my bank, went online and ordered the sheets, £10 delivery and got a 10% discount code. Items were scheduled to be delivered on Friday the same week. I was working that day so they delivered on Monday instead. Delivery guy was a polite young lad who slung it exactly where I asked him to put it. Moral of the story, don't go to the shop because its cheaper online...and quicker.”

“Delivery was very good but why does one small tub come with a full sized pallet which the delivery company had to leave with me? A waste of a pallet and I now need to take my time to take it to a recycling centre! Very odd. Also the tub was quite badly damaged but fortunately contents were ok.”

“The products were as advertised. Bit i have two points to make. The compost was more expensive than it needs to be i accepted that because you deliver and i didn't want to carry stuff. That leads me to complain about the delivery. I requested the goods be dropped in the patio area behind the garden gate. You dropped it in the close which meant I had to lift it through to the garden myself, negating the advantage of paying for delivery”

Hi James, Thanks for your feedback. As stated in our Delivery Policy under the point of Delivery section, delivery is Kerbside. "Unfortunately, due to insurance restrictions, delivery of larger items are only able to be delivered ‘kerbside’. It is not their responsibility to take the delivery into your home. “Ordered online. Product what expected. Lack of information about delivery time a disappointment as had elderly parent wait all day to then phone and find out delivery hadn't left store.”

“The commutation was poor. After I placed my order I heard nothing for two weeks when I received a text message to say my fence panels would be delivered the following Monday between 8am and 6pm. After waiting in all day they never arrived. A message to say they would be delivered the day would have been helpful.”

“All items received as ordered which was good. Not so good was the fact that I waited in all Thu and was told at around 3.40 pm that my delivery was not coming. I this day and age, not being able to give any suggestion of delivery time or a shorter time window on the day would make me consider other options next time.”

“Products and delivery was good but I was supposed to get the delivery on the Monday and had waited in for it. When it got to 4.00 in the afternoon I rang up to ask if it was still being delivered that day and was told it could come up to 5.00. It was finally delivered the next day at about 11.00 a.m. I think you could improve the communication as it was likely the driver knew he wouldn't complete the deliveries on the Monday. This is the second time this has happened”

Hi David, Thank you for your review & feedback. The Eliza Tinsley hinges do state on them 5-7 working days for delivery as they are not stocked in the branches and have to be ordered in. This was sent out within 4 working days and was delivered on the 5th working day. Thanks again for your feedback and hope you shop with us again when purchasing materials.
