Other aspects of the service were fine but it is not clear to me why it takes Estate Sawmills well over a week to deliver an order of stock items. A builders merchant would only take a couple of days.

Hi Alan and many thanks for your review. During busy periods delivery times may be longer than usual due to high demand and increased workloads. We always aim to deliver as promptly as possible, but during peak times there may be slight delays. We appreciate your patience and understanding and we do our best to get materials to you as quickly and efficiently as we can.

Placed an order for delivery around 7 days later. Delivery day came and was told the fence panels were out of stock as they’d sold out over the weekend. How can that happen when they had an order pre booked! Had to wait 2 days for the panels to come which was only from Wakefield. All products are excellent, just very disappointed that not everything was delivered in time, especially as it was for my daughter and we had to go to their house twice to wait!

Hi David and many thanks for your review. Stock is constantly coming into ourselves, however due to the seasonal nature of the industry, from time to time we do experience stock shortages and delays with some items coming in. Our suppliers are doing their best to get everything to us on the agreed dates. We understand this can be frustrating and we are doing everything we can to get items restocked as quickly as possible.

All the boards were slightly different lengths. Adds alot of work for the fitter

Can't fault the price or quality, but delivery driver threw bags of postcrete over 3 ft fence splitting a few. Would use again as are best in area

My last delivery there was a badly damaged length of timber, was marked on the delivery note, expecting a replacement or a phone call to advise what was happening. Nothing communication at all. Other than that the timber was fine.

It is difficult to understand why it takes Estate Sawmills a week and a half to deliver materials in this day and age compared with, say, a builders merchant.

The products purchased were of good quality and value for money. My main reason for 3*is delivery it gives you a box to put in instructions this is pointless as they are ignored I specifically asked for a pm delivery nope the driver arrived at 740am. It's a curbside drop only. Reasons I asked for pm so someone could be there to assist as stated in the terms. Really need to sort this out heavy things being delivered no way I could assist the delivery guy. Won't be ordering again for this reason shame as the products excellent

1st order I received was excellent quality but the second order the quality on the wood was bad as I had 2 chuck 2 pieces away as they were too damaged 2 use

Good price and delivery. Only criticism is that the wood was very water logged and needed to be dried out for many days in the sun before use.

Delivery arrived early but some of the decking was damaged one decking board had an 18inch split which had to be cut off and another was damaged at the end and the wrong fencing pale was sent

Good product at right price. Be careful with Web orders, they are subject to change with NO notice. My order was delivered one week late. Still no explanation.

No problem with the price or the items, which were great. There was a problem with delivery though. All communication said that it would arrive by a certain time on a particular day, so we waited in for that. By late evening it was clear it wasn’t coming but nobody had contacted us to let us know. The tracking didn’t update until the next day, and informed us to expect delivery that morning. Luckily, I was wfh that day…. The items were eventually delivered but no explanation for why it was a day late was offered 🙁

I only needed a few fence pailings so unfortunately delivery was way more than the cost of the timber which is not really the fault of the seller. one length of timber was damaged at the end however and as it was for edging a shed roof I had to make a trip to but one from elsewhere to finish the job. Other than that all good.

The fence panels received were poor quality. The pieces of wood used are clearly ones they couldn’t sell as really poor quality. One panel has a chunk missing from a piece of wood, another one clearly broke in construction and rather than remove the piece of wood they nailed the broken piece back on. Wood used was so rough I had to hire a sander to fix has would have given my children lots of splinters Often find when you opt for delivery the quality of the wood is very poor.
