The produce itself is fantastic and I will go on and rate each product separately with glowing reviews, but unfortunately I had to mark down by 2 stars because of the un eco friendly packaging— massive styrofoam box with ice packs that aren’t clear if they can be emptied out in a sink (so in the trash they went). With competitors moving to completely recyclable packaging for similarly frozen items, this came as a surprise. And this does actually make me think twice about ordering from them again, even though the produce is fantastic. Such a shame.

Thank you for your detailed review and for your feedback on our packaging. We are constantly looking at eco friendly ways to improve our packaging and have moved to brown paper, recyclable food grade cold packs as well as useable water-ice packs. Due to the nature of our products, (frozen items such as sashimi & wagyu beef), we are still trying to source an alternative to the polybox. Unfortunately we haven't found a good enough alternative. Please do let us know if you have found one. We have tried and tested dozens but they all fall short of food items arriving at destinations, (some 2-3 day in transit), not arriving in their expected condition.

A little pricey in general. I had a few item that weren’t good. Customer service were responsive the first time I contacted them, but they didn’t respond to my 2nd and 3rd emails.

Dear Hayley, We refunded you all the items in your order which you complained about and which you supplied us with photographs. We are sorry that we didn't make it clear enough on our website that the micro-herbs would only last 2-3 days and not 8 days and that parsnips weren't at their best after 8 days . Unfortunately as the figs looked perfect and you mentioned that they did, however, when you tried them you found that they were not to your liking, we simply can't refund on this basis. If they were rotten or damaged upon arrival then of course we would have refunded you. We are sorry that this was not the outcome you desired. All the best, Fine Food Specialist

Website is easy to use - hoped for packaging to be a bit nicer when you're paying for such an expensive steak. Remember, it's an experience.

Oh goodness, this is the first complaint we've had on our packaging not being nicer. We try and be as eco-friendly and sustainable as possible. We're sorry you found our mini canapé, one bite, hot dog rolls to be too small. These are specifically made for canapés and for people to eat it in one mouthful. We specify that these are 5.5cm by 2.5cm in the title and product description.

The food poisoned my 2 year anniversary meal. We ended up throwing up all night. Haven’t heard back from customer service, yet I’m being sent requests to write reviews 🙄 Update: customer services got back to me and refunded my whole order. Very happy with the response. I will be using them again. Normally they’re very good!!

Oh my goodness we are so sorry to read your review. Unfortunately we don't work over the weekends so didn't receive the email you sent on Sunday until this morning. We are conferring with our suppliers to make sure that there have been no concerns with the particular batches you received. The quality of the food is pretty decent and would love to buy more but the prices are just hidious.

I have to admit I was disappointed with the products, but this was made up for by excellent customer service. Unfortunately 2 out of 5 boxes of edible flowers ordered for a wedding cake arrived in unusable condition: brown, wilted and crushed. However, when I sent pictures to customer service I immediately received an apology and a refund. Luckily the three good boxes of flowers were satisfactory and I was able to complete the wedding cakes, albeit with changes to the agreed designs and the bride and groom were happy with them. A shame but thanks to the positive customer service response, I would still order from here again.

Seem to have issues regarding orders where a gift card is used to pay for items not only this year but last year as well. Issue, sorted, but only after calling and making company aware after waiting a week.

Ordering on website was quick and easy Meat was good but I was disappointed upon delivery as the meat was thawed out on arrival due the ice packs use melting to bags of liquid and not being that cold, I was expecting gel ice packs to be used as they stay frozen for longer, considering the price of the order, Somewhat hesitant to reorder

Thank you for your review. We're thrilled that the wagyu was good but sorry to hear that it had thawed on arrival. We try our best to package our products with frozen ice packs/ gel packs and dry ice. Occasionally due to either delays with the courier company or hot weather, some items may arrived thawed. If this is the case, as a general rule, if it's cold to touch like items in your fridge you can safely re freeze it without any problems. In future if you have any concerns please reach out to us.

Order delivery on time, although items were starting to defrost Hoping the item will be OK when needed. Item was porcini mushrooms.

Bit expensive but yes, I volunteered to pay the the costs. Had to throw a number of the gooseberries away because they had orange slimy parts on them. The rest were very good and helped alleviate my cravings for often hard to find gooseberries.

Service was great, everything arrived well packed and on time. However, part of the order was a whole Brie (for a wedding two days later), and it wasn't ripe/soft. One week later, the Brie is still too firm at room temperature. Very disappointing.
