“Total disappointment. After doing a lot of research into solid wood bed frames, I was so exited to find GLB. I was happy to wait the three-four weeks it took to get the bed. The ordering process and delivery updates were great, and I was told that the shipper would be given my delivery instructions (which is uncommon). My bed did arrive on time even though my instructions were not passed on to the shipper, and it was more complex than expected, but I was still excited about the bed until I found that not only were there errors in the poorly designed assembly instructions, there were pieces missing (!). I’m still waiting for these pieces and am sleeping on the floor. I have no idea how good the bed is but so far GLB had been disappointing.”

“I ordered a bed with the black stain. The staining is quite spotty and in the screw holes there is no staining at all or drips of stain - all which are quite visible. I am not having to go and seek out stain that will match this to clean it up and fill in holes. It's quite frustrating and not at all the quality that I expected at this price point.”

“The wood is nice and the flat-packing clever, but everythign else needs work. In one step the number of screws matched what was needed with the bed but not the instructions, and if the instrucitons are followed you end up screwing through the wood (60mm screws are instructed, 50mm are needed). Pre-drilled holes don't always line up (or rather line up so that the screws sometimes run into one another when meant to be inserted at 90-degree angles), and since many other screw holes are not pre-drilled the owner must often figure out alignement (this is not a big deal but certainly adds to the perception of this brand's laziness and lack of care). Finally since everything is assembled with wood-on-wood pressed together tightly with wood screws, the bed creaks a lot when used -- ironic given the name of the company. I will not buy another product here, and will tell anyone who asks not to either.”

“The bed is nice and strong but did not come as pictured - the headboard is stained differently than the other bed frame pieces and I don’t like how it looks. Some hardware was missing (5 missing screws, but got extra grommets) and I had to do my own measuring and guessing as to placing the headboard because it did not come with guides or pilot holes. Required power drill for proper installation. Would not take this chance again, mostly due to the staining issue.”

“I was thrilled to find a real wood bed that came in a Full XL size. I really like the design, but the quality of the workmanship is mediocre. The varnish is very uneven with dark patches and what looks like a bunch of finger prints. I'm hard pressed to find other beds in this size so I will keep it. Also, when assembling, it is very difficult to keep pieces together tight enough when screwing them together. They should use fasteners that tighten as you go. Update: While trying to correct the loose joint, we discovered that the soft wood has cracked, so there is no way to tighten the joint at all. I could literally wiggle the pieces apart despite two screws. Very disappointed. I would be willing to pay more money for a bed that has decent varnish and doesn't break during assembly. I'm down grading to 2 stars.”

“The bed parts came in boxes which was sent out and arrived without any issues. Material was not work the amount that we paid. Disappointed and would not order again . Quality is not good and many issues were noted.”

“Very disappointed. The bed slats are stupid soft and flexible making the bed hard to sleep in. I have gotten shoulder pain after using this frame because it flexes too much. Otherwise the bed is pretty and was easy to install. I bought a bed from getlaidbeds because it was exclaiming to have more base board coverage than other slatted beds, and writing a bunch of stuff about support. I had issues with my last bed frame that support was bad and the slats too soft. The slats on this getlaidbed are so soft that with two average sized humans sharing it, it flexes so much I worry we will hit the floor. It flexes more every week. The slat boards are made with stupid soft/low quality wood. I am not sure it would have more flex if I just removed the slats. Very disappointed, bed overhyped on their website and I fell for it. Be aware.”

“I’m sorry to write a poor review. We recently received the bed frame material. All of that looks fine. Unfortunately, we are going to have to return everything, because we have no idea how to put it together. It’s much more complicated than what we realized. The first piece we tried to put together where the notch fits into the headboard piece didn’t fit. We are not carpenters and wouldn’t want to drill through the wood to put other pieces together. I’m waiting to hear back from the company.”

“The assembly instructions included with the bed were extremely unclear. I paid a handyman to assemble the bed and we spent at least 30 extra minutes trying to figure out what the instructions were saying. Worse yet, it seems that an incorrectly sized wooden piece was included with the bed. However, to date we have no idea because customer service was closed and there's absolutely no additional information online about assembling the bed.”

“The bed is nice. The holes for the headboard are not drilled in so I was not able to install that part. The base does not have holes for the slats so I was unable to fully install those. It's a nice bed, but it's creaky and the assembly instructions are vague. I guess I'm stuck with the bed but it wouldn't be my first choice.”

“The wood frame in the bed came damaged. Maybe the bed is amazing, and I hope it is, but I can't tell because a main piece was ruined in the delivery. So I hope to write a better review once I get a replacement piece if that happens.”

“The bed frame is fine. Does what it should. The installation was HORRIBLE. The instructions were dated, and our bed came with multiple parts that were not noted on the instructions, and I had to use my own drill bits to make holes for over 20+ screws because the wood came without pre drilled holes for the bed slats. Putting a sticker annotating what piece is what, and having a key on the instructions would go a very far way. We love how it looks and seems sturdy, but when you pay this much for a bed frame, you would think you wouldn’t have to drill your own holes and guess what should go where.”
