“Recetnly purchased a pair of Merino Wool Knit Men in light grey. Typically wear a 12 Wide (US) so went for the 13 with these and they fit perfect. Would encourage anyone with narrow or wide feet to read the description for each model. At the bottom, Giesswein tells you if it's suitable for narrow, normal or wide feet. This model states 'suitable for regular to wide feet.' Really liked these so ordered a pair in the regular grey to have an option that would go better with darker attire. The light grey is borderline too light but I can't complain because they do offer the two shades. I love grey casual shoes because it's the most versatile color that matches just about everything. Have a strong dislike for all white for some reason & the light grey comes close but is easily distinguishable as grey because the sole is white. I think the perfect shade would be a halfway point between the light and regular grey with a sole that is the color of the current light grey shoe. That's just me though so take it for it's worth. The support in the footbed is that of a sneaker/tennis shoe and the look is one that allows you to wear it with most casual attire, which is rare in a shoe. I don't like designs or labels on my clothing or shoes so Giesswein hit the mark on this one for my taste. I've also tried the Wool Sneaker Men in light grey and love it for warmer weather. I would say it's best for casual settings in hotter climate with shorts. It doesn't have the stability in the footbed like the Merino Wool Knit Men so not ideally suited for long walks or atheltic endeavors but perfect in it's own right. Again, ordered this in a 13 and it works for me. Description states 'suitable for narrow to regular feet' but going a size up seems to be the answer for my need for a wide shoe. Also, worth noting is that these are perfectly fine to wear with no socks. I've read previous reviews that say there's a design flaw that rubs against the heel. I wore these practically every day last summer as I was able to wear shorts in a relaxed setting and never once had an issue with blisters or discomfort. If ordering to the US, you should know that it's going to take 5-6 business days to receive the order. There is no option for expedited shipping so plan ahead. Nothing against Allbirds because I've bought numerous pair over the years but this is my new 'go to.' I think Giesswein is smart to limit their offerings, which allows them to focus on perfecting the same models year after year. The logos on the sides of the sportier looking shoes are not for me but I'm sure many people love it. I feel good about discovering Giesswein over the last year beacuse I have a quality product that's currently unique to the US market but I'm sure that will change over the next couple, few years as word gets out. Too good of a product not to...keep up the good work and thank you! SM”

“I’ve never paid so much money for hard-soled slippers, but have heard wonderful things about Giesswein and I am really sold on the fact that they’re not made in China and have no synthetic materials. Sadly they REALLY hurt! I wore them around for several hours in the house and there’s a massive gap between the top of my feet and the lip of the shoe. So every step would bang the top of my foot. Had to remove them and now they’re just sitting in a box. I’m a pensioner so it’s hard to waste that much money 😕”
