I’m please to have had my kayak sent to my home. The assistant was fab in giving advice. When I phoned to enquire the kayaks whereabouts when it was late for delivery the guy on the phone was very helpful. However it was a different colour to that I ordered and it arrived 3 days later than expected, and two days after I was advised it would come when I phoned to ask where it was. I would recommend buying in person rather than having delivery. (I won’t be returning it because it is too much hassle:. I will live with the different colour)

Hi Priscilla, Thanks for the feedback. I am sorry that your boat has turned up a day late. It should have been delivered on Friday, but it was delivered the following Monday. We did try to get this delivered on Saturday, but this isn't a service that DX usually offer and they were unable to do so. I can't believe that we've sent you the wrong colour! Can you send us a photo of the boat, we'll of course get this rectified! Thanks Andy - Store Manager

Pleased with kayak but disappointed you would choose to use a delivery company that don't have any communication as to time or even day of delivery..I basically wasted 3 days waiting around for my kayak to arrive with not even a text or phone call..they even took pot luck on whether I would be at home to accept delivery so Very poor tbh

Hi Anthony, Thanks for the review. When it comes to shipping kayaks, DX Freight are the only company that will take items of that size, weight & bulk and we are limited by the services they provide. The Threeday service is delivered within 3 days, as stated on our delivery page and the only way to guarantee a delivery day is to select the next day service. You currently have £9.25 on your account to spend on your next shop. Hope that helps Andy - Store Manager

Hi, Thanks for the review. We subsidies shipping to make it as cheap as possible for our customers, we always loose out on shipping especially because we have more expensive plastic free packaging, rather than the cheaper plastic packaging. Perhaps we could look at the item you bought and see if it can be sent via a cheaper service - we'll take a look at that and see if we can find a solution. Big thanks, once again. I'm pleased with my purchase but not the postage. The cheapest option advertised was next day delivery with UPS at +/- £6. I paid this and my order arrived 3 working days later.

No problem with the product, didn't arrive as scheduled so had to ring up and find out why, would have been nice if they had rung me to let me know.

Hi, I've had a look at your order which was expected to be delivered either Friday 13th, or Monday 16th. The tracking confirms that it was delivered on the 16th so we'd consider this to have arrived as scheduled. Overall I think the services was very good, but could not find the parcel. Never thought to look around the back as always use the front door, perhaps a standard note in the letterbox would have helped. Other than that very good. Regards; T.

Just was told that I could get a discount for being a member of the Kayaking club only to find it the same price as advertised online

Hi Tony, Thanks for the feedback. Online pricing is very competitive and often the club discount works out to be the same as the online discount. It's a tricky situation to remain competitive online, but also reward local club members. One thing is guaranteed - you won't find it cheaper anywhere else, whether that is at the online price or at club discount price. Hope that helps Andy

Website info and ordering was great. However even after paying extra to have it sent to inverness it still took 72hrs instead of advertised 24

Hi, Thanks for bringing this to our attention. The highlands and Islands service to Inverness (and other areas in that zone) isn't guaranteed next day, like the rest of Mainland UK. I can see on our delivery information this isn't clear enough, so I'll make the amendments so it's clearer next time. I would also like to refund any shipping you paid as we weren't able to fulfil that service - but you're anonymous!
