“I ordered wood on line, but when I went to pick it up the same day, the stockist did not have it in stock. The stock system software is flawed. Staff apologised and I found an alternative size wood to do the job. Staff were very helpful”

“sheets of 6mm marine ply arrived on time as agreed. Would have preferred to have had the external grain orientation running lengthwise or given the option. Somehow assumed that this was what would be delivered. However, plywood seems to be of good quality.”

“The process is good and products good ,staff friendly but I have found my delivery schedules unreliable, first online order through Long Whatton I had to chase through Burton on Trent , recently my order through Long Whatton was told to chase through Coalville and wasn't deliverd when promised.”

“Ordered 18 lengths of beading and 3 delivered were the wrong diameter. I was given a refund and the staff sorted quickly”

“Timber was delivered on time which was great. One pack of timber was damp and covered in furry mould. This has obviously been left damp and began to grow mould. Still useable but gave it a jet wash before I used it.”

“2 panels arrived slightly damaged on each leading edge… fortunately we could work around it but if reliant on each panel being complete then we’d have been in trouble and delay”

“Arrived on time but had definitely been thrown about during delivery as fitted it today to find out the casing near the lock mechanism had been broken. Had I noticed sooner I’d have returned the item but I was already in a customers house so I fixed it. Not after anything just a little more care during delivery would be great”

“I ordered some panels of white melamine-coated chipboard. Harlow Timber Group informed me that my delivery would be delayed as it had been accidentally damaged by the courier and that they were sending some more. The panels arrived in good condition and I was happy.”

“A good selection of timber held in stock, seem to price match the timber sector. Only downfall is their uncompetitive delivery costs, not sure how they can charge more for a 5 mile local delivery compared to competitors charging less but travelling 50 miles plus. Might need to look at what the market place does by linking in with spend quantity. If you happen to work in the trade and have a vehicle to pick up local I would say it's the place to go.”
