“On line ordering process good. Delivery times spot on. Offloading and carrying to drop off by delivery driver excellent. Only problem was that half of products delivered (shiplap cladding) were damaged in some way. As I had ordered double ther quantity I was able to finish my job.”

“Ordered online which is very easy to use booking a delivery date is a good feature. However some of my order was missed resulting in me having to make a 35 mile round trip.”

“My delivery driver was very good and the ordering online was easy enough but everything in between was poor. I heard nothing about my order from when I placed it to it being delivered. I had to ring multiple times as no answer, however when I did get through I was told very little and was pretty much passed from one person to another. Not very professional.”

“Ordered timber 37 lengths at 4.5m Rang me day before to say they had no stock so could 40 @4.2 for same price- was happy with this offer- When it arrived 2 lengths were snapped- 6 had no “tongue” on the panel and 7 of the lengths were 3.5m and absolutely no use”

“I've used Harlow Timber online before and would rate it 5 star. However, this time it was not up to that standard. You offer a 4 working hour collection, which was 2 days in this case, and I had to chase to find if it was ready. The 4 items weren't together and some PAR had to be cut to my order whilst I waited. The staff were very helpful and polite.”

“The fence panels are great, the order came promptly on time. The driver was not helpful, he insisted on putting the panels in the nearest place rather than 2 metres further down the side of my house where they would be safe as we had requested, he wasn’t trying to be helpful at all rather finish the job quickly and move on.”

“The product as received was fine, the delivery driver was most helpful, however after waiting in all day and contacting Harlows late afternoon was told the delivery would be the day after due to a problem with the delivery vehicle. It would have been nice to have been told this earlier.”

“I paid for delivery on the Friday but it didn’t arrive until Monday- costing me another days labour. The grille was primed on the rough side leaving the front side unpainted.Very disappointing given the amount paid.”

“Small partial sheet of marine plywood arrived as promised but was bowed - likely because it is thin. Needed for floorboard in my 1927 vintage car so used the flattest part the sheet as one corner had delaminated.”

“Unfortunately both order arrived damaged. I only order two pieces of wood for the top of a door frame. This ought to have been checked. However I was compensated for the damage. The customer service was punctual and delivery was quick.”

“Good value products delivered as requested. £25 for delivery though on £250 order. However ridiculous to send one driver with heavy concrete posts and 6ft panels on pallets and no lifting equipment. Fortunately i could help to break down pallets and carry with driver”

We take our customer's feedback seriously, and we will certainly pass your comments back to the manager of our logistics team. We work hard to keep our delivery charges for what are largely bulky items competative, and our staff are trained and able to handle our products appropriately and safely. If you do have any specific delivery requirements in the future there is a delivery notes box that you can use to explain any circumstances of your delivery including access and offload requests and instructions. “Fast service, however, the delivery driver just left at my door without knocking! I bought 2x 8x4 oak faced ply, they were packed with the oak facing out which has has been marked due to careless delivery damage. Also, while the corner's had plastic protector's the ply was still damaged. There was also a white label stuck on the oak face which didn't peel off. So not a brilliant experience I'm afraid!”

“I bought some oak veneered ply and some poplar ply. Clear info on stock and pick up availability and product was there when I arrived. Oak was great. One issue: I originally ordered Birch ply however, I was advised that the stock they had was 'not good' and that the poplar was a good alternative - I followed the advice, however, poplar, apart from being ply and quite light, is in no way a replacement for birch: it will not sand to a smooth finish, it sucks up stain and oil like a very dry sponge and it warps. I finished my intended product I will likely do it again with some birch.”

“Fence panels good. I ordered 7 but one is a lot darker than the others which is a shame. It would have also been good to have a rough time estimate or times of delivery like 8am - 8pm.”

“great help to sort out what timber i needed to fit holes that was cut into my cladding below the gunnels needed to match pattern already there and i needed it posting as not able to get to a depot .... lucky it was only needed for patching up old speaker holes cut by last owners .... why ? god knows !!! the plant of wood came in 2.5 mtrs lenghts so to help them with cheaper postage i said cut it in half which will make post easier ... the stuff i got was full od knots and bits missing around them ... i suppose they was looking to sell that bit of wood for ages ??? still job done now and the bad bits will go in wood burner on a winters day !”
