I ordered some timber from Harlow to build a display stand. When it turned up a couple of lengths were broken and half the order was wrong. By that time I was running out of time so had to make do and adjust my design to fit. Apart from those problems l was happy with the quality of the wood. Delivery costs made this wood no cheaper than I could have bought it at my local DIY store.

Doesn't say it's click and collect only until clicked to purchase - so I went to buy to be told I couldn't. Said I would click and collect - told 4 hour lead time. Said I would click and collect for Coalville and left. Then found out it's collect only from Long Whatton. Finally ordered and on collection waited ages whilst a pile of papers were rummaged through 3 times to find my order.

Cut sheet materials are only avaialbe online, and we do our best to make this clear by placing this information in bold red letters on the listing of all our cut sheet materials. Disappointed that my order didn't get to me on the day I had paid for it to be delivered. At least I got the delivery charge refund. I would like to see you give mor of an idea of times for delivery....not just give a whole day.

I bought a single sheet of 2.44x1.22 x 18mm hardwood ply. once I got unpacked I found that all four corners of the sheet were damaged and both main faces had large imperfections in them. Fortunately for my application, appearance was not a big factor. But at over £60 plus £30 delivery I ecpected better quality. Delivery was a day later than originally promised. Don't think I would rush to order again from Harlow.

Website ok, Ordered online from 'live ' stocks Had to substitute a chunk of the order because it wasn't in stock. So much for live stock. Delivery ok, on time although you'd expect that for the £17 paid. Less than impressed to find a shocking piece of 100x50 packed in between 2 ok pieces. Complained and was offered a £10 refund. Hardly helps the timetable does it when you then have to go and source another piece of useable timber . I hate leaving negative reviews especially for local companies but hey, they asked me to.

I ordered 8x 3.9m lengths which were showing in stock. The day before delivery I had a phone call to say they didn't have the 3.9m lengths in stock. Could they send 7x 4.2m lengths instead. Not ideal but I needed the skirting board so went with it. 3 of the boards had black marks/stains on them so needed sanding.

On rare occasions we do contact customers to see if they are able to accept alternative lengths of timber in order to ensure that your delivery arrives on the date required. We are always willing to compromise, and work with you to get you the timber you need when you need it. We are pleased that in this instance we were able to find a compromise, however it is dissapointing to read that the carrier made the timber firty during transit, and we will contact them to discuss this frustrating matter further. It's like pulling teeth, I don't think customer service is ever trained. Online order, saw wasn't working on the day of the order & first visit, then the offcuts weren't there when I collected.

Second visit to LW Depot. - Had a quote via a phone call to Sales- (Great no problem) However had ordered and paid for cutting 3 lenghts 4.2 meters of Matchboarding. These had been cross-cut (I feel as 3 together) - but 2 lengths had been cut from rear face giving the front face a splintered edge. Also on my first visit (could not buy 4.2m lengths) - due to a pack not beeing open- no stock - yet online showed stock @ LW - so wasted journey.

The timber itself was pretty decent, soft wood joinery. But it was sellotaped all the way around the timber. Had to go and put it through a thicknesser to get all the tape and glue off the material. Should never put tape onto finished material

Because this is a decorative or finished product we work hard to wrap this type of timber so that it does not get damaged in transit. We used cardboard corners and / or bubble wrap to ensure that your timber gets to you safely and without issue. We are sorry that a small amount of the tape used was adhered to the timber. We'd advise a cloth soaked in a little warm water will remove without damaging the product. Ordered some decking boards. The delivery takes ages to come. A day before the delivery I got a call from them saying they don't have the boards witht the length that I ordered. I wasn't very happy with that as I had lined up the thinfs for the project. If they haven't got the length they should have informed me of that one or two days afrer received my order. Definitely not a day before the delivery. They rang me up later on the same day saying they had got the boards with my required length. A bit scary but it is ok. Upon the delivery found two decking boards damaged. Reported the damage and asked for the replacement, then got the first email to offer a TEN% refund of the damaged pieces which is an absolute joke and I felt I was treated like a begger on the street for changes. I then suggested a full refund of the damaged pieces so that I can buy the replacement elsewhere or send me the replacement within two days. Cause I really need to get the project done. I then received the second email saying to offer me a 50% refund of the damaged pieces or get the replacement in FIVE days. Not sure why the replacement needs to take ages to come. I finally chose the replacement. Hopefully it won't be another mess.

We did have a shortage for a short period and notified you of this, however you explained that the lengths you selected were required as spec, and it was pleasing to see the team go the extra mile and ensure you got your lengths as requested. Whilst we were sorry to hear that two of the lengths supplied were not up to standard we did manage to ship you replacements at our cost within 48 hours of notification, and we apologise that these lengths were not suitable for your project. First delivery date was 6 days after ordering, advised before delivery some items missing but would follow by courier. Not received after 3 working days so had to telephone 3 times before being able to speak to someone who dealt with orders. He advised would be despatched the following day for receipt the day after ie 6 days after delivery and job on hold waiting. Only wanted, bolts, nuts and washers so nothing that isn't readily available. Not great service. Update. Bolts arrived but no nuts as ordered! Two chasers went unanswered but then a notification of further delivery received resulting in 16 nuts (in a 10 inch square box!) arriving 5 days after the bolts and 11 days after first delivery. Not acceptable Harlows.

Ordered my timber online on Saturday morning and I still hadn't received contact on Monday lunch with regards to this. I went into the Coalville department and they processed the order however when in the timber yard the length of wood I had ordered they didn't stock. I then received an email to say my order was ready 2 days later.

I received no acknowledgement of order, no email, etc. I was surprised a week later to be emailed that the 3 metre piece of weatherboarding had been despatched. Once dispatched it can't be stopped. It arrived a day or two later, left at the side of a neighbour's house. I had been at home so there was no reason to leave it there.

When an order is placed an automated order confirmation is sent to the email placed within form when placing th order. We are surprised to hear that you dod not recieve this, but depending on your junk / spam settings you may find this in your junk folder. We are pleased to hear that the delivery acknowledgment wassuccessfully recieved, as were the goods shortly afterwards. If the carrier is unable to gain a response whilst delivering the item they may ask a neighbour to take your package in for you if they are agreeable. We are pleased to hear that your neighbour agreed to accept your package on your behalf, and that you item was simple to locate. Wood ordered couldn’t be supplied in the advertised lengths, quite a few of the match boards were damaged and supplied in different widths.

The 2.4m shelf board arrived damaged. Fortunately, I could trim the end off as it was slightly too long. The board itself is flimsy I.e. it bends without support. My other 2.5m from b&q are half the price, arrived undamaged and do not bend. Unfortunately, the size I require is not available for home delivery. Very disappointed!

Wood is good quality and arrived in good time (within a few days) however, only 1/2 of my packages were delivered. The delivery label clearly stated 2 of 2 and the package containing my required adhesive, fixings etc were not delivered.
