“Had 13no. 9mm 2.4m x 1.2m OSB sheets which were all badly warped which I had to spend time flattening. Price was competitive but I could have done without having to do this.”

“Ordered a length of hardwood beading which came damaged. They said they would send another (fair enough) That apparently got damaged before it got to me so they gave me a refund and said they would not send another as they got damaged. I find it unbelievable that they cannot wrap a piece of beading up so it doesn’t get damaged!!”

“Ordered some decking board’s delivery supposed to be on the Monday got a call to say won’t be til end of the week as not got them in stock rang next day asked someone to call me with update but never did called again later in the week for update only to be told it’s Derby who will be delivering them you will have to call them even tho the original order was from Loughborough very bad service”

If your delivery address falls within one of our branch delivery areas, it is likely your local branch will be the ones delivering the order. If we don’t have the exact lengths of timber at your delivery branch, you will be offered the meterage ordered at alternative lengths that the branch have in stock. If this is suitable, your order should be delivered within the estimated time frame. If you would prefer the lengths on the original order, there may be a delay in the stock reaching your delivery branch, once the stock is delivered to your branch delivery will be made to you. When the ecommerce team receives a call for an order that is being delivered from another branch, they will redirect you to that branch for the most up to date information regarding your order. I apologise that your experience didn’t match your expectations and I hope it hasn’t discouraged you from using us in the future. “When ordering I booked a particular day for delivery when I know I'd be home but then when the materials were dispatched I was informed they'd arrive the day before which wasn't ideal. Door and frame came from two different suppliers which wasn't clear when ordering so I had gwo separate deliveries. The softwood internal door frame I ordered was very poor quality, badly warped and bent and with bits split off of the edge of one piece.”

We often supply doors direct from manufacturer in order to reduce the amount of handling and to ensure that your door reaches you in perfect condition and we apologise if this was not obvious to you upon shipment of order. “Ordered 10 x 4.8m roof battens, 3 arrived badly damaged another snapped in half when we lifted it up. Submitted complaint to customer services - told they could replace (very good) and would be delivered yesterday (Tuesday) - still waiting, no sign of replacements Shame because really pleased with rest of timber and initial customer service comms”

“Product was ok but lack of delivery information on web site and email , which states that they use there own transport, caused me to waste a day waiting for a delivery which did not arrive on the day stated. Even when I asked for an update I was still not told that DHL would be delivering. If I had know this I would have waited for the DHL text of the hour slot for delivery.”

Good Afternoon, How are you? Firstly thank you for ordering from Harlow Timber. We use a mix of own transport and external carriers based upon the order placed and it's destinaton. When we despatch at order an email is sent to the buyer informing them of the despatch and with any relevant tracking number if we are using an external carrier so that you can track your own order or in turn contact the courier if you will not be at home to recieve the consignment. “I bought these trellis on the strength of the picture on their website which looked like a chunky planed timber nailed at each join. Those that arrived were rough timber and stapled at each join. Disappointed. Aside from that, the pallet had been loaded top heavy, it was on it's side on arrival, the fall had split each one of the bags of cement ( bar one ) and coated half of the trellis panels with cement. Both the driver and I were coated with light dusting of cement by the time we'd finished. Not impressed.”

“I don't usually do reviews but received a request so here it is. 6mm MDF radiator grille arrived promptly but looks like it was done on a CNC with some accuracy issues and also a blunt cutting tool. I make bespoke radiator covers amongst other things and was glad that this was for use at home and not a client, won't be using again”

“The products are good, but I phoned and explicitly asked for the delivery to be delayed from the Thursday to Friday. I was told this would not be a problem, but the delivery arrived on Thursday, when I wasn’t home, and caused massive inconvenience for my wife who wasn’t expecting it.”

“Every item on the order was incorrect. Needed to cut most to shape. At least the telephone was answered promptly, and aprt of the order corracted within the day of delivery.”

The cladding & timber you ordered we sent an alternative length that was slightly longer than your ordered due to timeline and stock avaialbility. This meant you got slightly more timber than you ordered for no addtional cost, and we ensured that all length specifications were covered with the timber we selected. “i ordered the wood on the 7th of jan 23 was told it was not dispatched until the 10th dhl have STILL not delivered to me it is now 13th of jan 23”

“normally ,you are very good with delivery and quality of the wood,however,last time,i purchased 2x1 marine ply,i use this to make steady rests for customers,and they usually want 12" when it came it was a good 13mm shorter,so i either had to make smaller steady rests but had already advertised 12 " or build it up ,which i did and was time consuming,so please,in future take some time getting the sizes right”
