“Got a call out of the blue today saying that they were changing the terms and wording in my policy and they would be sending me out me paperwork just checked my bank account to pay an other account to discover that they have taken £254 from my account. Left me with nothing in my account.”
“Absolutely diabolical service - took £517.00 out of our account for a job and tv that we don’t have. We do have other items insured for three years with them but that’s it when the policies run out this year.
Despite numerous emails they would not discuss the details with me as although it is a joint account the policy is in my husband’s name. Cannot get through on the phone either😡 it’s in the hands of the bank now. PS they also took £1+ out the j/a to check if the funds were in there before they removed the £500!”
“Was told my appliances would be covered for 3 years at a cost of £85 they took £387. From my account and another £387 will be taken in January. Tried too phone too cancel and guess what, couldn't get through have sent email requesting too cancel don't hold much hope in that, I will phone everyday and try too get hold of someone.”
“Appalling service. Forgot how long ago cooker stopped working. Cooker only 18 months old and already used this service before that took forever to fix and didn’t complete job properly. Broke down again. Great being without cooker for over 5 weeks with 3 kids. Well done homeshield”
“Oven stopped working. Reported it on the 10th Sept. 14th Sept cold call from their office saying some of my insurances are due for renewal. Told her I was waiting to hear from engineer, she said she would pass it on.
Told them it was urgent as I am having breast cancer surgery at the end of the week so need it fixed ASAP……….still waiting,”
“I was cold called by Rebecca yesterday and she went through a protection plan for white goods with me. She was very thorough and left me to make a decision about whether to take out the plan. I'm currently insured with Domestic and General but as they keep putting the cost up every year I was looking for another company to insure my white goods with.
Rebecca called me back today and went through the plan with me again, she even got me a discount on the cost of insuring three products. So I have taken out the plan and will cancel my plan with Domestic and General forthwith. Thank you Rebecca for all your help, and for doing a brilliant job, you couldn't have been any more helpful.”
“Checking my bank statements I noticed homesheild taking £49 a month. Just phoned they say it’s for cover of my cooker and hob. I never agreed to this. Why would I it was a cheap buy 10 years ago. Let’s see how my complaint is dealt with!!”
“Despite no authority to renew and registering a payment block, this company still manage to get funds, by changing name and amounts. Avoid, as they will also not speak to you via their non existent customer services.”
“Tumble dryer broke down called homeshield and had an engineer the next day. The machine couldn’t be fixed so they got me a band new one which came within the week. Great service”
