It feels like a 1* review is way too good for this bunch of fraudsters. They know exactly what they are doing - which is basically selling a product with no consumer duty... Having paid into my plan for 3 years - I was asked to RENEW my policy - but this is not what you are doing - you are starting a NEW policy - so the 3 years you have spent paying in are no longer valid .. If as was the the case with my dishwasher - your appliance fails within the first few months you have to pay for an engineer callout and also have to pay up your policy - IN FULL to receive any benefits from the policy - My BOSCH dishwasher was written off by the call-out engineer and they offered me a choice of two cheap dishwashers from second tier brands - that I had to source and order myself - plus pay for deliver and installation ... by the time I had paid for the engineer callout and to buy myself out of the policy plus the dishwasher itself - then delivery and install ( for which they offer another payment plan !! ) the low quality dishwasher they were offering me would have cost me more than a top tier replacement ... It is a con - it is NOT and insurance product so they are NOT overseen by the FCA or Consumer duty law - they know this and they hide behind their ambiguous and misleading terminology and terms and conditions. If you doubt me read the other review - 2.5 stars is shameful - 41% recommend them - and that is usually based on reviews of initially buying the product - NOT reviews of the service you get. Absolute garbage of a company, and a product not fit for purpose - but lesson learned .. Just don't make the same mistakes I did. DO NOT USE THEM.

Members of the public please be warned about this company. They are terrible company to deal with when it comes to paying out. I have been without a machine for 3 weeks and still having serious debates/Disbute on my Samsung washing machine(£1100 value) being a total lost because of a part/labour costing £300.! They offered me £185 towards a new Candy machine.!!

They are taking money out of my account without my permission. getting the information for direct debit that I had with them years ago and it was cancelled.

This company, promises you will have your appliances covered should they need a repair, or will be replaced if your item is broken and can’t be repaired. That’s a blatant lie, they take your money and don’t breach their own terms and conditions. Hopefully they will get their comeuppance! Save your money & DON’T insure your appliances with Home Shield Direct. Do your homework and read the reviews, on as many sites as you can: If you want piece of mind that your appliances are covered then go to Domestic and General. If you want severe stress and anxiety then by all means use Home Shield Direct. You will definitely wish you hadn’t I tried to go through the financial ombudsman, unfortunately HSD are not registered with the FOS 🥲

HOMESHIELD HAVE TAKEN MONEY FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY CONSENT AND WITHOUT ME EVEN HAVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THEM. I AM NOT ALLOWED TO HEAR THE RCORDING OF THE TELEPHONE CONVERSATION THAT WAS TAKEN IN MY CAR AND WHERE I STATED THAT I NEEDED TO LOOK AT MY ACCOUNTS BEFORE I AGREED AND THING - THIS IS DUE TO DATA PROTECTION!!! NEITHER CAN I HAVE MY MONEY BACK!! I DO NOT KNOW HOW THAT GOT MY BANK DETAILS!!! I HAVE RAISED A COMPLAINT AND NOW HAVE TO WAIT 72 HRS FOR A RESPONSE - INCREDABLE ABSOLUTE RUBBISH COMPANY - -3/01/2024

I placed an order for a Rapid test kit on 9/18. Finally received it on 10/10. Totally 22 days in UPS+ USPS shipping. I thought this would be a happy ending. When I open the box and take a look. BinaxNOW Exp date is Jan 8 2024. Only three months left before expiration. Another brand - iHealth doesn't even have an expiry date marked on it. My serious skepticism this test kits has expired already. Is this how WeShieldDirect uses online shipping to cheating customers? Worst delivery handling ever. Plus products expiration. Forget it, I don't want to tangle with WESHIEDDIRECT anymore. Just a warning to others. If you want to receive expired products. Just make an effort to purchase from this company! God bless you.

I spoke to Tre today. He was professional, conscientious and clear on his subject matter. Although I needed time to consider being a future customer, I did not feel pressure to change provider for my washing machine cover or to make a rushed decision.

Scam they have taken money out for washing machine cover no documents then keep ringing saying my cooker fridge and tumble dryer run out soon they took money out every month

ABYSMAL!!! Been paying out for a number of years and last week my washing machine broke down, zero customer service, leaving an emergency service worker with no means to have clean clothes and no professional communication, engineer refuse to work after 17:00 hours, engineer stated after I had to beg for an appointment at 07:00am telling me I need a new washing machine that I’d be waiting a week or longer for the replacement, customer service told me to take my laundry to a laundrette, after being treated so poorly I decided to just go out and replace it myself, I then called to cancel this extremely poor service and asked for a refund, they have REFUSED to refund me walking away with over £250! DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THESE, ITS A SCAM!!

Sooo, this company randomly took out a whole plan in my dads name. On the 19th of May. Now the thing is. We never contacted them. The description of washing machine was one we had over five years ago. We were not using them for five years. And suddenly. They give a letter stating a plan has been set up and my dads account number and direct debit set up. All while NO ONE contacted them for any insurance cover. I email them to remove us amd asking how this happened. They only respond saying they will cancel the direct debit. I emailed again asking I want to know HOW they just randomly put us on a plan without any consent? No response. They still took a payment even though I cancelled the payment. And refunded it. But for those who do not have access to letters. They would have just started doing a plan for £270. This company is a scam. How were we given a letter stating out plan when we NEVER called, emailed or spoke to a person from this company. If we were with them years ago we never repurchased. So how can they use old information they have saved to create a whole new bogus claim? Fraudulent behaviour at its finest to steal money.

I wish I could leave a zero star review. Their customer service is terrible, the manager in charge of my correspondence has no customer service skills and doesn't care to resolve this matter, instead continues to make out I have caused this by not being available ONE day, and their ceo refuses to respond to emails.

If I could leave a review without given a star I would. We have a Samsung washing machine that comes with 10 year warranty and we just been told its coming to a end. When explained that we knew it was a cold call and that the warranty the lady was rude and kept speaking over my wife and said that she didn't want to be spoken to like that. My wife wasn't being horrible just said it was a cold call and knew that the washing machine was still in warranty. At this point the lady still kept speaking over my wife. Bad service and people need to get another job.

Got a phone call out of the blue saying my guarantee for my washing machine was expiring, and would need to be renewed, and a new mandate direct debit would need to be set up, thought this was strange as it usually roles on unless I say stop. So talking about this great deal I was being offered, then he asked for my bank sort code, then he wanted my bank account details, this is when I said but you must have this information from the other thing I have insured with you, he tried every way he could to get that account number. I held out saying I would never hand over details like this on the phone, he sent me emails while we were talking to try and convince me. In the end I still said no, thank goodness I did because it had basically been a cold call on the off chance I would take the deal he was offering, and not once did he say you don't have other things insured with us. When I checked it was a completely different company I am insured with. Thank goodness I had the sense to hold off giving him that bank account number, and i also have all the insurance company names etc for all my different insurances now remembered so i dont just believe its the one i am with when they call. So beware of them making calls like this to you it could really cost or save you loads.

Absolutely terrible company, pretty much hard sale to take out a policy, then took the money anyway even though I technically had not agreed, then when I cancelled it was such a ball ache to do so as it had to go through the Customer Care Team. Appaling service.

This company is shocking!! Just found two payments of £65 taken from my account after being told I would pay LESS than £20 a month. It’s basically theft. I won’t get that money back and I’m being blamed for it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Absolutely appalling service I’ve been without a washing machine for 3 months They have offered me a crappy replacement They do not say in the T&C that they will not replace your machine with the same one and they will only give the replacement value of the machine when it was purchased Avoid this company they are con merchants took 3 year plan and they’ve offered me the money value of the plan to replace my broken machine

Got a call out of the blue today saying that they were changing the terms and wording in my policy and they would be sending me out me paperwork just checked my bank account to pay an other account to discover that they have taken £254 from my account. Left me with nothing in my account.
