BUNCH OF LYING CRETAINS TOOK 3 PAYMENTS BY DIRECT DEBIT FOR THINGS WE NEVER AGREED TO, THEY CANNOT EVEN TELL ME THE MAKE OR MODEL OF WHATS INSURED CHECK YOUR BANK

Set up a direct debit without my approval. No info sent to me explaining what I had purchased? Constantly cold calling. I have asked my bank to block this company and referred them to trading standards.

Unsolicited phishers / scam callers Called me on 01273033970 claiming to be "HomeShield Direct" asking me about a washing machine. I called them back and another person picked up the phone and reeled off the same phishing bs. Do not answer. Just block and report the number. I'm filing a police report as this is illegal.

Rip off keep setting up direct debits from my mom's account start with low amounts then build up, they would have left her penniless. If not caught in time.

Having been with them since 2022 for a washing machine, fridge and freezer, had few repairs to washing machine then they replaced it, all good I thought, new machine went wrong, after 8 weeks phoned them not covered. Then the seal had gone in the fridge and the freezer kept freezing shut so we couldn't open it thought get them both sorted together to save delivery twice to be told as we live on a farm they are classed as commercial use. Both appliances came from Curry's ordinary. So if you are living in the country not close to town or shops and have a good size fridge or freezer for your family you will be discriminated by them. Rang them several times to sort it out, to be told the plan is cancelled "I'm no long with them.." feel totally let down and scammed.

Have been paying monthly for cover on washing machine for about last 6/7 years washing machine broken and not repairable i contacted them this morning to be told i can't claim the lady on the phone didn't even ask me my name policy number so I told her to cancel it she said its cancelled how can this be when she didn't even take the name also found my last letter with policy details should have been paying 7.14 per month they have been taking 10.49 so been over charging me i am now reporting this to trading standards not happy at all and will be reporting to any other place that I can discusting behaviour and obviously need staff who know what they are doing.

What went wrong, is your people contacted my mother who has dementia and set up numerous DD for appliances. Also my sister at the same address who has Altzhimers got her to pay for an electric cooker, she had a gas cooker . Have cancelled payments, you've set them up again. What sort of people prey on vulnerable people. HOMESHIELD DIRECT OBVIOUSLY DO !!!!

Keep setting up policies again and again that we’ve cancelled. Taken hundreds from us. Tried to cancel many times can never talk to anyone. They terminated my call this morning when I asked to speak to manager or complaints as I wouldn’t go away. My husband just died and they still setting up in his name. I think this company are scammers

Letter received at my elderly mothers address, thanking her for renewing her policy. My mother does not have the JVC television the policy lists. Not helpful when called to complain simply stated that she agreed to it. Mum is an elderly vulnerable person and did not agree to anything. Nasty dirty cold callers preying on people.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I have received from HomeShield Direct. They sold me an insurance policy under false pretenses, claiming that my current care plan with Curry was expiring and that they were replacing it. Now, they are saying that they are actually extending the factory warranty of my supplier, despite the fact that my appliances are 6 years old. They have deceived me, and to make matters worse, they are now contacting me and trying to shift the blame onto me for not cancelling the policy sooner. It is clear that HomeShield Direct is running a scam, so I urge everyone to be cautious when dealing with them.

They called me and implied I had a plan with them and they were popping renewal docs in the post . I smelt a rat and discovered they were in fact cold calling When I pointed this out they hung up In fact I had a policy for this appliance with Domestic and General . Aggressive cold calling

Really bad customer service and bad communication !!!! arranged my daughter to be at my home for washer mending from 9.15 while we were on holiday gave engineer her number and to contact as we wouldn't be able to answer phone, got a message on my phone saying they would be here 7.15 to 10am even though I said i couldnt answer. On the day he rang my daughter and said he was at our home it was 8.15 she asked him to wait till 8.30 as she asked neighbour if they would take her kids to school, he said no!!! and to arrange another call out, he said to order a part as he thought it was the drum and if he waited he wouldn't be able to do anything anyway. When I came home i rang for another call out and to order the part, the woman that answered said we missed a call out and had to pay £114 before they would do anything she wouldn't listen at all and kept repeating the same thing even though I said I had arranged the time with them. She said it was an automated message and I didn't response, my daughter said she tried ringing twice but no one answered. They wouldn't listen to the phone call where we arranged for the engineer to ring my daughter, they suspended my policy and said THEY WOULD TAKE IT FURTHER absolutely disgusting I had paid the policy for 6 years and never had one call out.

Set up a insurance policy with these scammers and called them when our washing machine broke down for them to tell me the policy has been cancelled and there is nothing they can do about it absolute jokers

It feels like a 1* review is way too good for this bunch of fraudsters. They know exactly what they are doing - which is basically selling a product with no consumer duty... Having paid into my plan for 3 years - I was asked to RENEW my policy - but this is not what you are doing - you are starting a NEW policy - so the 3 years you have spent paying in are no longer valid .. If as was the the case with my dishwasher - your appliance fails within the first few months you have to pay for an engineer callout and also have to pay up your policy - IN FULL to receive any benefits from the policy - My BOSCH dishwasher was written off by the call-out engineer and they offered me a choice of two cheap dishwashers from second tier brands - that I had to source and order myself - plus pay for deliver and installation ... by the time I had paid for the engineer callout and to buy myself out of the policy plus the dishwasher itself - then delivery and install ( for which they offer another payment plan !! ) the low quality dishwasher they were offering me would have cost me more than a top tier replacement ... It is a con - it is NOT and insurance product so they are NOT overseen by the FCA or Consumer duty law - they know this and they hide behind their ambiguous and misleading terminology and terms and conditions. If you doubt me read the other review - 2.5 stars is shameful - 41% recommend them - and that is usually based on reviews of initially buying the product - NOT reviews of the service you get. Absolute garbage of a company, and a product not fit for purpose - but lesson learned .. Just don't make the same mistakes I did. DO NOT USE THEM.

Members of the public please be warned about this company. They are terrible company to deal with when it comes to paying out. I have been without a machine for 3 weeks and still having serious debates/Disbute on my Samsung washing machine(£1100 value) being a total lost because of a part/labour costing £300.! They offered me £185 towards a new Candy machine.!!

This company, promises you will have your appliances covered should they need a repair, or will be replaced if your item is broken and can’t be repaired. That’s a blatant lie, they take your money and don’t breach their own terms and conditions. Hopefully they will get their comeuppance! Save your money & DON’T insure your appliances with Home Shield Direct. Do your homework and read the reviews, on as many sites as you can: If you want piece of mind that your appliances are covered then go to Domestic and General. If you want severe stress and anxiety then by all means use Home Shield Direct. You will definitely wish you hadn’t I tried to go through the financial ombudsman, unfortunately HSD are not registered with the FOS 🥲

HOMESHIELD HAVE TAKEN MONEY FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT WITHOUT MY CONSENT AND WITHOUT ME EVEN HAVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THEM. I AM NOT ALLOWED TO HEAR THE RCORDING OF THE TELEPHONE CONVERSATION THAT WAS TAKEN IN MY CAR AND WHERE I STATED THAT I NEEDED TO LOOK AT MY ACCOUNTS BEFORE I AGREED AND THING - THIS IS DUE TO DATA PROTECTION!!! NEITHER CAN I HAVE MY MONEY BACK!! I DO NOT KNOW HOW THAT GOT MY BANK DETAILS!!! I HAVE RAISED A COMPLAINT AND NOW HAVE TO WAIT 72 HRS FOR A RESPONSE - INCREDABLE ABSOLUTE RUBBISH COMPANY - -3/01/2024
