About Jaques of London:
In 1795 Thomas Jaques took on his 15-year-old son, John as an apprentice. Together they established ‘Thomas Jaques: Manufacturer of Ivory, Hardwoods, Bone and Tunbridge Ware’ in Hatton Garden. We have remained a family run business ever since, with the same unwavering passion for quality games and toys.

Today we are ever-expanding our toy range and have been honoured with over 10 awards in the past five years as a result. Our Mini Minds Hub launched in 2020 to encourage learning at home. This is now stocked with over 150 free resources. We’ve been working for over 230 years to fill the world with more joy and we hope to keep striving for that goal long into the future. “My Grandson loved this wooden airoplane he enjoys removing the people and luggage ,so cute! . What i love about it this is that he could be watching his children in years to come playing with it. He is also playing with some of his Daddy's toys already . This kind of toy in my opinion is the best kind of investment.”

“I discovered JAQUES last year and I’m so pleased I did. I buy most of my grandson’s toys from you. They are great quality, well made and great fun. “I bought various painting and pencil sets for my great neices based on the reviews and i was really impressed with the packaging as i didn't need to wrap them! they were also reasonably priced too compared to elsewhere. Arrived quickly. We have bought other items like games for the garden from Jaques of london and i have found them to of good quality and again reasonably priced.”

“Generally OK. The purely web based order was impersonal - misleading promo codes that didn't apply to my order wereannoying. Absence of a phone number to return calls frustrating - I missed several calls to finalise delivery as I was in meetings at work and couldn't pick up - nor could I call back when it suited me so this delayed delivery. I was also told I could arrange delivery with neighbour via Parcelforce - however this option was not available prior to their delivery attempt, or at least I could find it. Parcelforce than attempted delivery outside of their indicated time when I was out and as I was at work the following day I missed the second attempt. In the end as this was a 50th birthday present and bank holiday approaching I had to take the time off work to drive a 60 mile / 2 hour round trip to pick it up from the depot. Having paid delivery. Really bad experience.”
