“Worst Customer services,
I just join LycaMobile and I followed all the steps to activate their bundle offer for joining to LycaMobile. After I did all the steps, I waited for bundle to activate. After hours of waiting I contacted customer service and told me to wait two more hours, again called them after more than two hours to tell me to wait another two hours. After half of day waiting I called again, this time I was told that I had to put credit and text ‘PORT IN ‘ before everything else. That is impossible to add credit when I am with different carrier. I gave up and I looked to activate different bundle with my £10 credit l, wich I topped up online. After I activated a £10 bundle with 15gb data, I only received 7gb. I quickly called again customer services. When I asked why I only received 7 gun, I was told that I activated the bundle offline. I asked where are this informations about this, he said it is small Written on website. I read and said only if I do it instore Will get only 7gb and they cannot help me. I topped up online and activated also online, at HOME, not INSTORE. I asked straightaway to cancel the bundle. They told me it will be cancelled within 2 hours. Again after 2 hours I called again to wait another two hours. From the beginning I stopped data from my phone. No one mb was used. After two days I received a text: they were unable to cancel the bundle after 2 days because I used data. With data switched off for 3 days and don’t know how this it was possible.
I am not happy with LycaMobile services! I will never recommend to anyone and I will ask for PAC number to move.”

They're just looking for ways to scam you for your money. Terms of services are unclear and it is horribly difficult to navigate the website.
If you have any alternative at all run away from Luca!!!”

I paid £25 to have a top up bundle to a Lyca Mobile number (Pay As You Go) on 9/4/2022, unfortunately that was a blocked number and couldn’t be used nor activated. I contacted customer service and in order to have that £25 refunded, I HAVE PAID FOR ANOTHER NUMBER PER THEIR REQUEST. They told me it would take 7 days to refund but it has now been 14 days and no money is refunded.
Follow-up email has been sent by me but no progress was made by Lyca Mobile. Terrible customer service. I request a refund simply because Lyca Mobile has failed to provide me with the service I paid for.
Save yourself the hassle and buy your Pay As You Go somewhere else.

Lyca Mobile contacted me earlier today saying that they could NOT refund as promised and left me with no choice but to spend that £25 to BUY ANOTHER BUNDLE from them! Yes, the same strategy they used last time to make me buy another bundle! This is totally ridiculous and I am not going to fall for the same trap again!
During the conversation, I felt that Lyca Mobile was trying to tire me out by making me repeat every single detail again and again and explaining to them over and over, or providing them information that have already been provided. But I am not afraid of them and am not giving up because I am telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. And when I asked them why I was given different stories from time to time, they simply told me they would investigate the reason why I was told that the amount could be refunded. See? I am so amazed at how Lyca Mobile also know that I was told so and how they are now trying so hard to take my £25 dishonestly.
So buyer beware of them please, there are many other service providers out there, think twice before choosing Lyca Mobile. And I will keep fighting for the refund of that £25 because nothing will change the fact that Lyca Mobile has failed to provide me with the service I paid for.”

If you want to port your number over they will give you an incorrect account number through text message. when call they will ask you to out of the sim card will you are on the phone with them ...lol which will of course disconnect you from the call. They ask for dial out frequently call number and when you provide it they keep saying we cant find it. asks for puk number is when you first get the sim card it on the card but not on the sim. They verification questions are very stupid, idiotic. DO NOT GET IT, WORSE WORSE SERV. OVERALL”

“This phone company is straight from the depths of hell!
They are worst company I have ever had to deal with and I am quite shocked that they are in business. It has been a never ending trail of problems. Starting from topping up credit with only 2-3 texts/calls and credit completely finished, not refunding me money when they have taken it without any usage. Terrible customer service, slow service in general.
Its just been an awful experience dealing with this company.
If I could give this review 0 stars I would have.

“Horrible service, a nightmare!!!! They refuse to give you your account information if you want to change provider, they will ask you stupid questions and even if you answet them they will say it’s not the right answer so they keep your phone number hostage, when you call customer service they make things worse, after many years I find out that I cannot send or receive text messages from android phones, just iphone and this line is for my business so I lost a lot of clients, and when I asked for the account number I was like ok I can look it up on the website, they say my number doesn’t exist, they will play every single dirty trick in the book to keep your number, don’t do business with them”

“Simple: a fraud
I asked Lyca, via app, to RENEW the UK plan super extra bundle using the SIM card balance instead of my debit card.
I received the confirmation of the app that this request was successful.
Instead, the bundle did not renew and so I received all charges unexpected on the SIM card balance.
Therefore I requested the refund of these charges and so I wanted to restore my previous SIM card balance that was about 35 pounds.
Lyca is refusing any refund.”
“I'm a lycamobile customer for almost 3 years and now you start giving me problems... 2 months...2 months that I can't make international calls... even when I paid for that... the same plan and now I can't call... I can't talk to my daughter in Brazil or my boyfriend in Morocco... the message is that I dont have enough credit to call at all... HOW IF I JUST RENEW THE PLAN AGAIN... 2 consecutive month the same issue... I try to have it solved but the customer service is poor... a mess... confused and doesn't work!!!!!!!! I wanna make calls as I paid for... fix that...fix that.... fix thaaaaat Lycamobile... fix that as soon as you read this review... or you will lose me as customer after 3 years! “Allereerst zou je denken dat de prijzen goedkoop zijn, maar als je dan kijkt wat voor slecht bereik je hebt dan realiseer je je dat ze te veel vragen. Ze durven ook nummers dubbel te registeren waardoor je dus continu door onbekenden gebeld kan worden.
Als je met een probleem zit en de klantenservice belt dan verkopen ze vaak broodje aap verhalen en excuseren ze zich voor de leugens van hun medewerkers. Enorm onprofessioneel. Ze hebben ook nog eens vaak een duidelijke taalachterstand.
Ze proberen altijd een oplossing te bieden waarbij je geld uitgeeft om dan vervolgens te melden dat dit geen oplossing was.
Ze houden geeneens een deftige database bij van alle gegevens. Je zou denken dat als je je persoonlijke gegevens geeft, zij verder kunnen. Maar dat is dus niet het geval.
Echt de slechtste provider waar ik ooit beroep op heb gedaan. Ik raad iedereen aan eender andere provider te nemen want bij Lyca word je niet geholpen als je hulp nodig hebt.”
“UK user - I really wish I had read these reviews before switching to Lycamobile. I am surprised Uswitch have them on their site as endorsed looking at all these reviews. They have taken my plan fee out of my account a few days ago, I received the SIM today, and there is no plan on my account. Was on chat help for 30 mins for them to say they couldn't help me. Emailed customer services and they replied back with "sorry" but no response to the actual problem. Wish I hadn't started the transfer of the number I've had for years before I discovered all this. Also, I can see the call history of the person who used to have the number - not cool!”
