“After being accepted I received an email a week later cancelling my cover and charging me a £75 cancellation fee! What more is they take 17 days to refund the excess money I have paid to them, meaning I am unable to use that money to get another insurance provider.
Speaking via email they was very condescending and un professional.

“Worst comapny I dealt with so far! They cancelled my insurance saying that my day of birth was put in error and charging me £75.00 without even anyother explanation. Guy that dealt with my case- John was rude and I felt like he was pushing for this cancellation like it was only thing that they cared about. I will taks this matter to ombudsman. Avoid at any cost!”
“Cancelled my insurance the day after I took the policy out, claim they informed me they did not, I just taken it out and they forced me to pay for 7 full days AND pay £75 fee AND £50 cancellation fee despite the fact I had only just taken it out and within 14 days !!!! I wanted to cancel my 7 days of fake insurance with them they refused non of this is right and I will drag these scam artists kicking and screaming to ombudsman and small claims”

“Fraudulent, confusing, abandoned you at accident site pass you to who knows how many other companies upon claim. In the end you don’t know who is who. They refuse to give courtesy car legal help even though included Getting refund of your premium can take months even after they accept it

“Firstly I was accepted no problem then I had to send a photo of my driving licence then I had to send a selfie of my face now they have ask for proof of occupation and if I wasn’t able to supply it my insurance would be cancelled on a said date at 3pm I uploaded my wage slip but no even that wasn’t good enough I asked for a phone number to call someone and velma’s reply was sorry we’re a online only company we don’t have call centres I have never dealt with a car insurance company that basically wants a full dna test even after issuing an insurance policy certificate signed and active With your down payment accepted stating you was insured by them
I’ve emailed Velma and I have stated that had I of know it was going to be this difficult to keep my car insured with them I would definitely of gone elsewhere I have been driving for 8 years now and I have never dealt with an insurance company like it”
