“Please take the time to read the reviews on this company before you purchase. I wish I had!
I ordered garden furniture and paid in full – only for the company to send HALF the order to the delivery company. I’ve received NOTHING. They’ve been completely uncontactable, taking no responsibility and instead blaming the courier – despite the fact that they never shipped the full order in the first place.
The rest of the order? Apparently in stock, yet they have NO IDEA why it wasn’t dispatched. The level of communication is appalling, and their customer service is frankly non-existent.
After chasing and getting nowhere, I finally cancelled the order – and now they’re trying to charge me a CANCELLATION FEE. For an order they didn’t even deliver. I’m absolutely disgusted.
What makes it worse? I was about to place a second, higher-value order in the hope that I might have “better luck next time.” That won’t be happening – ever.
This company is a joke. Disorganised, unprofessional, and happy to take your money with no intention of fulfilling their end of the deal.
DO NOT TRUST THEM. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.”
“I received my order (ORD-0003-1624, Small Oxford Rattan Set) slightly over four weeks ago and on initial inspection I was very pleased with it, I still am but on the day of delivery I report 4 x screw-in feet missing from the table.
I called and was assured the missing parts would be sent out immediately, a week went by with no sign of the missing parts.
I called again (week 2) and spoke to someone else who was equally apologetic and promised the missed items would be dispatched immediately and this time they would be tracked, Royal Mail was blamed for the loss!
Week 3 came and went, email exchanges with empty promises and, you guessed it, still no sign of the missing parts meaning I still can't use the table.
I am now entering the fourth week without the parts and am therefore unable to take advantage of the beautiful weather and use fully use my purchase so for this reason I would recommend you AVOID purchasing from Maze Living because their after sales service is non-existent.
I have clearly been LIED to, strung along for weeks for 4 little items that would cost pennies to send out.
Once they have your money they won't give a hoot about you or the product they have provided, which is a SHAME because it's actually a nice garden set just UNUSABLE in its current state.
I've added pictures of the missing items, could it really be that difficult to replace? I suspect it's down to pure laziness or lack of decency that they haven't!”
“Avoid avoid avoid. Been waiting for a person since December 24 for a brand new pergola and so far I’ve had every excuse under the Sun about why it’s failed to happen.
They are cheap for a reason please avoid.”
“DISAPPOINTED IN THIS COMPANY IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT
Purchased a waterproof and weatherproof outdoor rattan box for £499 to store my cushions. Not fit for purpose, would have been better off storing my cushions in a cardboard box!
Not only am I out of pocket for the rattan box but it has ruined all my cushions (now mouldy, green, saturated and stained) these were for my Maze £1750 corner seating I also purchased.
As you can imagine I am livid. Customer service begrudgingly offered me a storage box cover and then proceeded to tell me they were not in stock.
I am currently in communication with Trading Standards regarding their false advertising.
NOT HAPPY AND STILL NO RESOLUTION. SHAME ON YOU MAZE...”
“The all weather furniture has perished, with zero customer care, zero warranty (even though it came with a two year warranty), and Maze Living refused return. Be warned—void excuses after excuses. This furniture is not all-weather. Extremely disappointed with both the quality of the furniture and the service. The company has also refused the return, which is a violation of consumer rights. The furniture has not even been used! The matter has now been escalated.”
“I ordered the cover for my maze living garden furniture which was stated by them as being the correct one. It was expensive but after spending a lot on my furniture I wanted to protect it properly. When the cover arrived the quality was very good but I was extremely dissapoiinted that it was huge and didn't fit properly. It was so bad in the wind that I had to remove it. Therfore, my garden furniture has been uncovered and in this terrible weather ever since. If I had realised it was going to be a generic cover, one fits all, I would have got one elsewhere for alot cheaper. Not happy at all!”
“Shocking service. Maze are quick enough to take payment in full (significant payment) but then lack the basic ability to fulfill an order and arrange the build
This is a basic fundamental of sales of this kit. 3 failed attempts / non-attendance and then they send a 1-man "team" to build two pergolas and furniture who arrives at 8.45pm!!! This organisation is wild!!!! Best advice - shop elsewhere!!!!!! Being lied to is not cool”
“BUYER BEWARE!
We purchased an outdoor dining set at the end of summer 2023. On delivery, we noticed there was a large chip in the table top. We contacted Maze immediately, who reassured us that they would sort a replacement table top. We have had to chase every single step of the way. It's 6 months later and we are still no closer to getting it replaced. Customer service is shocking. Full of empty promises and no useful information. They take no responsibility, blaming delivery or their suppliers, when it is with Maze that I have made the purchase.”
“We had a problem with the settee we had bought as part of the Santorini set. After contacting Maze Living we were told they would replace the settee but it would have to be ordered and could take up to 12 weeks. We were then contacted by Elizabeth from Customer Services and she has been superb in keeping us informed. The new settee arrived eventually but this had the same problem (dodgy leg). Elizabeth immediately decided to send us a complete new set of furniture and it arrived today in perfect condition. We can't praise Elizabeth enough. Throughout this saga she has been kind and courteous and she is a credit to the company.”
“We purchased the Oxford dining garden furniture from Maze living on line during lockdown . Our order was processed quickly and efficiently and we were kept informed of delivery times and date throughout the whole process. We received a text 1 hour before delivery and the drivers arrived on time . Unfortunate they did send the wrong chair but after a quick phone call they arranged to collect and replace it within 4 days . Fantastic quality furniture, very efficient company, we will definitely use them again and highly recommend Maze Living .”
