“The samples were fine but I was surprised how small they were considering they were not free samples.”

Hi Nicole, Thank you for your feedback and we apologise should you have felt the samples were small. We do specify on our website that the samples are 260mm x 120mm. We try to keep them fairly small to limit waste! 😊 They are a great way to review the finish before installing the full-sized panelling. “Since you keep bombarding me with the email requests about the product review. I have ordered a sample of your product; SlatWall Natural Oak Sample on grey felt. This came through the post quickly. Now, what I have received appears to be MDF slats with some sort of extra thin layer of I guess a vinyl, imitating oak? Slats are stapled onto some sort of cheap, poor quality of acoustic panel? I mean i get it. It looks good on the pictures, quite possibly will help to reduce echo in the room but £130 for a panel? I mean, I will pay that kind of money for a quality product. Don’t get me wrong. This is not and certainly not worth that kind of expense.”

Hi Lucas, Thank you for your feedback and I hope you are doing well. We will certainly look into our product review request emails to manage the frequency in which our customers are being contacted. Please note that we always encourage our customers to leave feedback to ensure that we are providing the best possible service. I apologise should you feel disappointed with the product received. Please note that we do not advertise the panels or the corresponding samples to be constructed from solid wood. We utilise a real wood veneer on an MDF core. This is not an imitation of oak, but a true oak veneer. The MDF core is utilised to provide support for the real wood veneer and prevent warping. It essentially allows for the product to be much more robust, as a natural wood product has the potential to warp, expand etc. with changing temperatures/humidity. Our felt backing is produced from recycled plastic and is capable of up to 90% sound absorption when installed onto wooden battens. The panels are produced to a high-quality finish by our team based solely within the UK. “Only requested two sample pieces and it cost me nearly £6!! Not enough wood grain effect, looked more like laminate in my opinion.”

“Was disappointed in the quality of the 4 samples we received. The lighter colours were very washed up looking and pinkish in tone. Only one of the 4 looked natural. And the smell of the samples was really strong. Based on the quality and look We had decided not to purchase . Very disappointed as reviews before had been good. Glad we only spent £10 on the samples before considering an order”
