“The parts I ordered for my Yanmar engine water pump were not the correct ones, even though I used the Parts4Engines online selection tool for the make and model of the engine. That, and paying $32 for shipping on a $65 order, made this a bad experience.”

“The photo of the kit ( Volvo Penta D1-30 Heat Exchanger Gasket & Seal Kit) shows the HYLOMAR tube as being part of the kit, but the description of the items to be sent does not mention it. This could be seen as a misleading advertising photo. Please correct this. In fact, the tubes were not in the 2 kits we bought. We had a delay in assembly due to this lack, as we had to buy the relevant tube for the joints.”

“Part of my order included a fuel filter for my Volvo engine. The part I received didn't fit so I telephone to find out why. I was told that I had a screw in type on my engine but their website didn't list it for the MD2030. I was told to send an email to explain. When I got a reply a few days later I was told I could buy a filter which is the same one that fits an MD 2040.. there was no mention that I could return the filter I had received and was of no use to me. I have bought a new filter form another supplier at a lower price. The screw in filter is now listed for the 2030 but it's more expensive than the one for the 2040. Not very satisfying.”

“The rebuild kit for a Volvo Penta 2002 Seawater Pump purchased should have a replacement brass screw to secure the cam. Pitch should be 8-32UNC. Instead, the kit had stainless screw with 8-36 pitch. P4E attempted remedy, sending brass screws this time, but still with incorrect pitch. No more attempts to provide correct screw were offered. This small screw is sacrificial, no longer available from VP in the US, and vital to safe pump function. Wrong metal and thread pitch are simply dangerous.”

“The alternator is fully consistent with the description and perfectly suited for replacement of the original part. Only downside, the order placed in DHL Express mode and shipping costs paid accordingly to put 11 days to reach me! :(”
