To many mixed messages and website has a Live Chat box that blocks the screen meaning you can't read the detail on the page.

Hi There, We were quite disappointed this year with what we received. In our brief for the speaker, we identified some key talking points we wanted them to bring and an allotted time frame of 15 minutes. We ended up getting around 6 minutes. What he said was ok, but it was not entirely relevant to what we had requested. The most disappointing thing was more the length he went for and the fact he seemed very nervous throughout his presentation and like he had not done much of this before. (It was more like he was talking to the boys at halftime, rearranging the furniture more times than we would care to mention). This is nothing against him personally, he just seemed really nervous. There was a significant increase in price for guest speakers (based on previous years we have used Pickstar) and I am curious as to how you screen your speakers. What is your selection process for athletes to join your platform and be selected to speak? To pay just under $1000 for 6 minutes is not justifiable to us, considering what we got. This has raised concerns for us about using Pickstar again in the future. I would like to request a refund of all or some of the funds as we did not recieve what we had booked for. *Pickstar has amended the problems we had*

Last time we worked with Pickstar I rated them a 5/5 but we didn't have the same experience this time. We originally booked Khadija Gbla and were assigned Nick Menechella as our Pickstar account manager. Nick was very hard to get in contact with, he didn't reply to our emails without being prompted via text or call. We didn't hear back from Khadija via the chat the entire time and this was concerning. As a result, we followed up with Nick several times to ensure that the booking is confirmed and he wasn't very helpful. When it came down to D-day as to whether or not we could go forward with Khadija, Nick was on leave. I emailed Ashleigh and she was super helpful. She responded to my email straight away and called me to update me on the situation and find an alternative speaker for Khadija who was on sick leave. Ashleigh helped us to have a new speaker confirmed within 24 hours and saved the day. From this point onwards, everything was smooth sailing, Ashleigh is a star but the process before she took over was quite frustrating. The other thing is that Pickstar were quite pushy for payment and not very accommodating of Council's payment process which involved paying invoices once the goods/service has been received. Instead, we had to pay a deposit and pay the balance of the invoice on the day of the event which was a lot of work and deviated from the normal process on our end. We love the range of speakers on Pickstar and hope that our next experience is more like our first one :)

Regarding the payment process, we do require payment prior to the event to ensure that talent are fully covered for their attendance, as is our agreement with the talent on our platform. Pickstar is a great option when you are unsure which celebrity you should use for your event. We received a wide variety of choices and we were able to select the perfect MC for our event. Although we were able to find a great fit for our event, my overall experience with Pickstar was not amazing. It started with a general chat about our event which I was then pushed into securing. I was open about our event being in the planning stages. Pickstar said this was fine and that we could just get an idea of who would be interested. When locking in our plans at a later stage, we were told that we couldn't change the requirements of the Pickstar add. Pickstar had secured their funds and then disappeared from the planning process. I was only able to get in touch with our MC in the days before the event. Our MC was amazing and I believe that using a platform like Pickstar was great in ensuring our MC needs were met. However, we will not be using Pickstar for our ongoing events each year as this trial booking was not very client focussed and I felt that besides having more MC options, using Pickstar didn't have any other benefits.

SCAA was very happy with Dipper on the day. He was inspiring and entertaining on the golf course and for dinner as the MC. As to Pickstar, I think your website is hard to manage from my point of view. Upon receiving notifications, I was getting the same one every day for weeks, so I had to open it to make sure it was not a new one.

Hi there, I have given Pickstar a 3 because it is in the middle. My experience with Pickstar was great and the system used was easy to manage and communicate through. However, the rating was decreased slightly by the speaker. We have received comments that Lee's presentation, due to it going overtime (I believe), didn't have a purpose or an overall theme to it. I had seen his full presentation which was what we had asked for but he only had 30 minutes and his video alone went for approx. 10 minutes of the speech. I know he was getting to the business side of things and would have wrapped it up nicely but our attendees and guests didn't know that and therefore some were disappointed in our choice unfortunately. If he used his time better summarised certain sections, the end result and summary/meaning of his speech would have shone through.

its a great concept.. But unfortunatly the ROI wasn't there for us to proceed further may give another try at a later date
