“I use to have problems with buzzing and reception so I switched to pci . But I took the rugged that I pulled out of my turbo s and put it in my Polaris xpedition and got your mounting plate all new wiring and intena. The dam radio now works awesome . And now my family and friends are doing exactly how mine is and they love them . The distance and how clear it works Good job”

“My radio has different Chanel’s then some of my friends who have the older radios. I can’t use their Chanel.”

Thank you for your review! It’s important to us that you have a seamless communication experience. If your radio has different channels than your friends' older models, it might be due to frequency ranges. If your have a gmrs radios and your friends have business band or "race radios" they will not talk to each other. “The hand held radios are great. The only down side is that the regular battery does not last at all. I recommend getting the extended/bigger battery.”

“Sound is great. Set up is in a 2023 Kawasaki KRX4 1000. Issue I have is using the helmet parts. No volume for individual headsets for helmet headphones. Also trying to talk into microphone with in helmet setup, no one can hear the other people.”

“The antenna mount was well made but required some modification to work on my 4- runner SR-5. It interfered with the wipers.”

“Love the radios, work exceptionally well. Only draw back is the need to put in a charge base. Would work easier for overlanding with a charge port.”

We do understand the need for this option! Which is why we upgraded our GMR2+ handheld to include a USB charger directly to the battery for on-the-go charging. “Ordered a new battery and it was DOA. Rugged sent a replacement right away. Wish they were made in USA but think Rugged is made in China or Taiwan with a Rugged sticker on the products.”

“We run these radios in our side x sides. Handy when somebody needs to stop for a break. Wish they had a little further range in the mountains and wish there was a repair kit for the anyennas”

“Love the radios. Love the installtion. Dont like to glitchy nature of operating the radios. I have installed 15+ radios in my friends cars. I love the option of putting the PTT for the driver on the stearing wheel, but that is not easy on most of the Polaris RZRs.”

“Great customer service but I am frustrated that I am having issues with using the digital setings on my radios. I am being told I need to use the analog settings and that you are working on solutions to the digital feedback and noise issues. I have installed all the suggested filters without any success. “After buying your Rugged Radios GMR25 when Transmitting to other radios was not coming in clear. I tryed what i could . I called and talked to your customer service and they recommended me sending it back to Rugged Radios so you can look it over and see if we can see what was going on . They said they could not find anything wrong . I got it back and the Rugged Radios GMR25 was working, But when i took it out on the ATV trails all i got back from my friend was the same thing as before i came in garbled and could not under stand what i was saying not Good and Not Happy .. I was thinking i was Buying Top of the line But all i got was a none working Rugged Radios GMR25. Your customer service was a 5 star.”
