My radios were programmed by your staff so they could add a private channel. They must have erased everything else because now I can’t pick up anything besides the channel they programmed. 🤦🏻‍♂️

The radio's work well overall. I have only used them a few times so far but have had no issues.

1 of the employees mixed up the cables I bought at the off-road show at the Pomona Fairplay. I discovered this, after I'd left, so I had to go back, get back into the show, and show them the error. They were very helpful in exchanging the incorrect cables with no hassle. I'm sure I'll buy more parts from Rugged in the future.

I have been using RUGGE model H22 OTH Headset for 2 way radios Black. I use a base station UHF/VHF radio for safety communications at San Diego Bayfair hydroplane races. I owned an older version that I keep as a spare. The curreect unit has been in use for 5 years. Everything works during that busy weekend. I wish RUGGED had marine VHF radio base stations that I can pair up with the anttena I use.

Thanks for the feedback! It’s awesome to hear the H22 headset is still going strong after 5 years—especially in such an intense environment like the Bayfair races. We’ll definitely pass along your suggestion about marine VHF base stations. Appreciate you sticking with Rugged!

Customer service was good. Wish I had stronger cables on radio I use on off road motorcycle. Radios bought from RZR Werks in Yuma, for Can Am X 3 are good. However, the plastic housing has faded to a gross discoloration that looks like diluted urine. X 3 stored inside. Not sure why the radio looks 20 years old.

It would have been good to know that the system would not connect with RideCommand as it is advertisd in your website. Using Bluetooth from my phone gets very low output from the system

The good side is my wife and I can chat all day long, we listen to great Bluetooth music, and we can chat with other riders. The down side is the radio doesn't reach out very far, couple of miles in fairly flat unobstructed line of sight terrain at best, a few hundred yards at worst in canyons and mountains, and a small delay before you can talk to other riders, not really game changer.

Love the set up. However, the music is real low in my helmet headset.

The support from the guys at Rugged Raidios is fantastic. They helped me get setup. Had a few initial equipment problems and they shipped replacements straight away. I chose to use and purchased 2 of their MOTO-BT2 helmet setups on full-face helmets with my own ham radios for use with another ham buddy on our new BMW motorcycles. After intial setup, which is not trivial on the BMW, I was able to listen to media, make and receive cell phone calls, and get directions from the GPS without any issues while moving or sitting still. Bike-to-bike comms while moving more than about 15mph is a dfferent story. The voice transmission comes thorugh, but it's picking up so much noise that it's not readable. We eventually resorted to transmitting to alert the other rider, then hold up a hand to indicate we needed to slowdown (considerably) to be able to get the message to the other rider. It wasn't ideal, but it did work and was useful on our 7-day ride through the Ozarks in AR and MO. I know that there are others who are successfully using these and many are using their own handheld ham radios, so I plan to continue to try to find a solution with the BT2. And before you ask, I do have 4 of my radio model and have swapped them out to make sure it's not one particular radio. It is possible that the brand radio I own has different filtering than radios provided by Rugged and theirs may filter out the wind and road noise, although one would think that the full face would elimintate most of it and, the phone works just fine.
