“I love the fact I can use my rugged handhelds right out of the box and their battery life is outstanding! I installed the hardwired GMRS in my jeep along with the intercom system. Using teh acctive filter made it easy, everything was already wired with highquality connections. Just had to connect one set of wires to the battery. I went with the Alpha Balss carbon fiber headsets and they are the best. light weight, breathable, excellant sound and the push to talk is soooo great to use while on the trail. no more fumbling with a wired microphone. Wish I'd upgraded 10 yrs ago. oh yeah, I called rugged and they were extreamly responsive and helpfull.”

“I appreciate that the radios come pre-programmed and that it is basically plug and play. Super easy install. We have a regular group of riders. Most everyone in that group runs your radios. in the last two years, we have bought 10 radios and installed 9. I keep an extra just in case someone sinks their machine and we need to replace it. 10/10 definitely recommend. One possible upgrade/equipment addition consideration is to have a simple line-out connection that allows you to run radio output transmissions through stereo speakers. Something that will cut the music off or maybe reduce the music volume by half so that the receiving unit doesn't have to ask for the sending unit to repeat their transmission. Maybe you already have equipment like this and I just don't know about it yet. First world problems though. lol.”

“The helmet system works perfectly. Once the system was installed I did struggle to figure out where to route the cables. I didn’t want them to just dangle everywhere and get my self tangled should I go down. I stood in front of a mirror to what was going on. Finally I settled on placement. I still need to figure out how to secure these cables so the don’t just slide off my person. I think a small diagram suggesting placement might have helped. I will include a picture of how i decided to roll.”

“The ONLY issue I have is a lack of Service Manual availability.”

“Very pricey and it seems more delicate than rugged. I also don’t like that Polaris ride command and rugged don’t communicate, vey frustrating! Once ride command is turned on the ride command Bluetooth overrides rugged Bluetooth and you lose the music to ride command and no longer hear it in the Rugged headsets!”

Unfortunately, Bluetooth devices may prioritize connections differently or sometimes are not compatible with certain software being used, leading to the issue you've described.
