Great selection, excellent information on the website, and a kind, helpful, and knowledgeable salesman, Carter, all merited 5 stars. However, through no fault of Slyman Brothers nor Carter, the process for setting up a payment plan was tedious and hopelessly convoluted. It finally came together, but what was anticipated to be a 10 to 15 minute exercise proved to be nearly an hour long trip through voicemail hell.

We were very happy with our experience. The sales associate was very helpful in meeting our requirements. He was knowledgeable and did not attempt to pressure us into something we did not need. The installation schedule met our needs and we were very happy with the installer

Our oven at home stopped working after christmas. We purchased a new oven and microwave on 12/28/2024 from Slyman and were told to expect two weeks until delivery & installation. We figured we could manage a few weeks without an oven. After waiting more than two weeks without hearing anything I called the store to learn it had been delayed until the end of January. We've been very happy with Slyman on past purchases and have recommended them to others, but the complete lack of communication or empathy for our situation was very disappointing and unexpected.

Very nice young men picked up old washer & dryer and delivered and installed new washer & dryer. They did a thorough and professional job under difficult circumstances - snow/ice in backyard made it difficult for them to move the equipment into the basement door. The delivery was delayed because of a snow/sleet storm. I delayed delivery two weeks because of the ice in the backyard. Their hard work was very much appreciated.

The issue really revolves around the install. Did not have the correct hose for the steamer and left the wash machine drain hose on the floor. Unknown to us. A load of laundry was completed in order to utilize the new dryer. When the load was complete we a large area of the basement to be flooded. This took serveral hours to move the items stored and mop up the floor. A lot of non-value time added to a simple install. I truly believe the install group was in a hurry to be done for the day since the install was the last one. The second team was very professional, addressed the installation issues in a much simpler fashion. After several purchases from Slyman's over the years with no issues, this was extremely disappointing. I am considering other appliances over the next six months and if I return to Slyman's the only way I will purchase is if the second install time is involved. Hopefully we contained everything and mold will not develop in the carpet.
