“Fabulous service!! My journey to solar installation would have been so much more difficult without the experience of Solar Quotes. It helped with the choice of panels & inverter and with names of authorised suppliers/installers. Only one company on the three named companies had to be followed up to ask for a quote & in the end I told the company not to bother with quote as I had enough quotes. “It was interesting to read Finn's comments about how to go about finding the right company to install a solar battery system. For a novice it's a bit like choosing an energy company, a health fund or a car insurance provider. It's so hard to compare apples with oranges when one has little experience with either. I was all at sea until I read Finn's enlightening suggestions as to how to go about what is really a quite difficult assignment. Before any of my friends get serious about installing solar panels and batteries, I will ensure they read "Solarquotes" before they do anything. With Finn's help I was able to identify a very reputable and helpful company in my area to put me on the right track. “The service is very helpful, even though in this case SolarQuotes didn't receive any direct commission.
I provided some feedback to them and a couple of thoughts directly.
As a general comment to the reader, I would advocate cutting out the middleman and dealing direct with an electrician/electrical company that is qualified to install panels and or batteries.
In my case, after dealing with 2 Panel/Battery installer groups locally, one who was going to use the same Electrician that I finally chose in any event, I cut out the middleman and dealt direct.
In dealing direct with Moncrieff Electrical, the key guy came out, really knew what he was doing, I had the quote within 24 hours and paid the deposit straight up.
One of the other 2 groups I'd been using basically took months to provide a quote, which ended up for a new Tesla Powerwall 3 installation being more than $3000 than the quote I have run with. No middleman.
Also, the company that took months to quote, didn't like detailed questions, but also didn't provide any key details for their quote breakdown.
Whilst SolarQuotes didn't help directly with my final selection and didn't have Moncrieff on their list, my discussions with them were helpful.
If you deal direct as I suggest above, you could well save $1000s, get the job done quicker will no nonsense in between.”

“As is usual, Finn Peacock is a must go to to get informed about all things solar. my enquiry was about installing a battery to store energy from 24 solar panels , instead of receiving a measly 0.05 c feed in tariff. The installers recommended were prompt in their response to my enquiry and made me reaize that my set up is fine as a 70 year old , Im in credit, havent had a bill since 2015, and said why outlay 12 K at this point.
