HI Weldrick Ltd is a family-owned company registered in England and based in Doncaster, Yorkshire- we have had an internet presence since 1998. We fully pay UK taxes and we do not divulge your personal data to any third parties.

We have a pharmacy tradition dating back to the 1930s when our late founders' grandmother opened her first pharmacy in Doncaster Town Centre. Remaining true to his vision our business remains 100% family-owned.

With a commitment to community healthcare and staff training we have steadily grown to over 60 pharmacies in the South Yorkshire area. We employ over 600 formally trained staff among who are more than 80 pharmacists, including 9 clinical pharmacists.

While our aim is not to make any mistakes we recognise they will happen occasionally and if they do we commit to communicating with our customers, do our best to put the problem right, identify the cause of the error and learn from it.

“The pharmacy is great but it chooses to use Royal Mail for dispatch. In 12 months Royal Mail managed to lose a consigment and direct another to a sorting office miles away. These are essential medical supplies and should not be entrusted to a compnay who cannot do the job properly. Hence 4 rather than 5 stars.”

“I have been ordering from you for over 12 years, first it was Gaviscon Advance liquid & Algesal joint cream. My surgery deleted these from my prescription list & said I had to buy them, I use both every day they are an essential part of my medications. Since 2013 I've been buying from you, I also buy other items & boxes are really well padded & secure. I like that no one can see names of products. I have recently given my friend your details, to save her money on her Gaviscon Advance, it's so expensive in the shops around £11 for 300 ml bottle. I am very happy with my items I receive & your service”

“Whilst I was overall happy with Weldricks, they were ultimately let down by the couriers who finally delivered our Insulin 3 days late. Luckily the package still felt cool enough to be safe for use, but had this happened in the summer months, the Insulin which needs to be kept cold would most likely be unfot for us.”

Dear John Lawson, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. Please accept my unreserved apology that your medication was delivered later than expected. Given the temperature-sensitive nature of the contents, your parcel should have arrived at the address you specified on the day you selected. By way of explanation (and not as an excuse), your delivery was impacted by Storm Goretti, which caused significant disruption across the courier network. Unfortunately, your area was one of those experiencing particularly severe delays with our delivery partner. We were advised at the time that essential deliveries, including food and pharmaceutical parcels, were being prioritised wherever possible. Our cold-chain packaging is specifically designed to maintain the required temperature range even if a delivery is delayed. We test this packaging throughout the year in a range of weather conditions to confirm it performs as intended. Based on the time your parcel spent in transit, the medication will have remained within the safe temperature threshold, with the ice packs still effective. That said, we fully recognise that courier performance can be a weak link in getting time-critical goods safely into customers’ hands. We closely monitor service levels and review issues directly with our delivery partners, and we are continually working with our account manager to strengthen “fridgeline” handling protocols wherever possible. I hope this addresses your concerns. “The weather interfered with Weldricks normally efficient delivery via Royal Mail. The delivery advised by Royal Mail tracking app. due Saturday 9th January did not happen. I was advised delivery would take place the next working day the 12th January but again this did not happen. There was no update on the Royal Mail tracking app. until the 14th January when they advised the delivery would take place that day. The parcel did turn up but upon opening was missing one tube of CCS Foot cream. The parcel appeared to be intact so I assume this was an error in packing. I rang Weldrick customer service on discovering the shortage. They were very helpful and advised they would refund the cost of the missing cream. I have ordered several times from Weldricks and this is the firest time there has been a problem. The lack of information from Royal Mail meant someone had to be at home in case the delivery turned up and was most inconvenient. I did visit the sorting office early on the 14th in the hope of collecting the parcel but was brushed aside with "we have a bit of a backlog mate no idea when you'll get your parcel".”
