“I ordered the gift from Hong Kong sending to my friend who living in Auckland for her birthday. She’s unexpected receiving the gift not from HK. And she loves it very much. We Love Local is quite consideration to ask me if need to stick a note on the box for the date of box opening to the recipient (expect my friend open it on her birthday). Also, they will let you know the delivery status from time to time and make me feeling reliable!”

Thanks for your review and feedback. We appreciate it! Gifts (or goods) in New Zealand can be slightly more expensive than in the UK — that's just the nature of being a small island nation. We also primarily work with small-batch artisan producers and craft beer breweries, which differs from ultra-processed beers and industrially-made products you would find at most supermarkets. Regarding the delivery date, the parcel was delivered one day early, but due to the time difference with the UK, you may have thought it was two days. We are very transparent with our shipping timeframes and mention this could be the case because we always need to anticipate delays with courier companies (especially now during winter) or if nobody is at home to sign for a delivery containing alcohol. To keep the surprise, we always add a "Please open me on _______" sticker with the date on the outside courier packaging in case this happens. We hope the recipient still liked the gift. Thanks so much again for supporting Aotearoa's small artisan producers.
