“Booking the order was easy, but deciding what to order more difficult - so much on offer. Love the ethos of eating wild meats from animals that have lived wild as nature intended. I did have difficulty removing the meat from the pressure packed plastic. Apart from that delivery was fast and all the meat well packed.

“Amazing. All the way from the packaging, the insulation is even recyleable! Bu the meat, the meat. The order was to feed a small team at The Wilderness Gathering, boy did it all go down well. The pheasant breasts went into a stir fry, the black pudding a nice treat in a hearty breakfast. The venison loin was smoked by our good friends Saxon Forge with a steak dry rub and was fantastic, needless to say didn't last long. “Great meat box, love the choice. Phoned with a query, quick reply everything was great. A couple of things to suggest though. I got the mixed box which cam with 12 wild boar chipolatas, I'd like to be able to swap them for the 6 preservative free wild boar sausages, I really like the idea of preservative sausages. Another thing was the 1kg of diced wild game, a great mix, might be better as two 500g bags and then you can freeze in a more practical portion without having to open bag. Really pleased, found the website only a few days before my birthday but still arrived on time. Will order again to be able to have monthly treat.”

“I ordered the whole Muntjac carcass along with the oven-ready squirrel as my first attempt at home butchery. Delivery was great and came in cold despite the heatwave. I got to work and was thrilled with the amount of usable meat that I managed to get off the beast, which will keep me and my husband in good stead for over a month (even the dog got some good scraps and was very happy). I managed to pry off some decent roasting joints, steaks, dice, mince, and mini ribs for the barbecue. It came in at 6kg and the only thing that actually got wasted were the bones, after I made stock of course - and even then they'll be great garden fertiliser.
As for the squirrel, it was a lot meatier than I was expecting and decided to braise it in the venison stock with chilli, garlic and ginger, pulled the meat once finished and added to a sweet soy filling for homemade bao buns (baozi) which went down so well at home and the one squirrel ended up making 8 buns. A little goes a long way.
All in all, I am exceedingly happy with everything that I bought and would certainly recommend it to anybody else thinking about it and believe that they've got the price spot-on for what you get.”
“Hi I received my delivery, but the driver did not knock or ring the bell. We were in all day. He left it out side by the bins on what was a hot day. It was only when I spotted the card he had put through the letter box that I realised I had a delivery. I have complained to the carrier but have not had a reply. The venison is always very good. I have made 15 burgers with a bag of mince. I mix in 250g of minced pork half a beaker of parmigiana have a beaker of white bread crumbs 3 teaspoon ot English mustard a large bunch of parsley finely chopped plus seasoning. And a splash of worcestershire sauce I got 15 burgers each weighing about 4oz. They are very tasty . Thanks again regards Jeff Siddall”
