“Not your fault but the hare was very difficult to prepare and eat, the meat was strong which I expected but very tough even though I marinaded the legs overnight and cooked the legs and the main body on a low heat for several hours, I certainly will not try it again, all the others meats I have purchased have fine.”
“Had a lot of bits 2 orders ago; beef, lamb mince, chicken livers, chicken. The Sutton Hoo Chicken is full of flavour. Our local butcher closed this year; terrible way our communities are being broken up, but I can get a Sutton Hoo here. Everything is of good quality and packed well. No delivery issues. I gave 4 stars as did find a bit of bone and quite a bit of grissle in the beef mince. Spatchcock partridge was lovely; not too heavy and gamey, important not to overcook to get the tenderest meat.”

Thank you very much for your review. Glad that you liked the venison and partridge but disappointed that you did not like the chipolatas. One of the issues we have by not adding artificial flavourings, preservative and pork fat is making sausages as tasty as those that typically do include those additives, but we are working on it!

“I haven't yet had the meat received but the packaging and prompt delivery was excellent. However I was quite disappointed at the size of the birds. I have had partridge before and although one is usually enough for one person I feel in this instance two will be needed.”
Pleased that you thought the delivery and packaging were excellent. As mentioned in response to the product review, partridges don't vary much in size. The product description says they weigh approx 275g so if they weighed less, please let us know (an image of the product on a scale would be fine).
