“Gas cooker hob was supplied within a kitchen refit. And the pan stand and main burner look awful. Zanussi no help whatsoever with replacement required and expected me to Pay . Would NEVER buy from zanussi again. Customer services are abysmal, and not helpful at all.”
“Glass hob shattered one Friday morning, hadn't even used it that day. Repair booked, earliest time was 2 weeks, so 2 weeks in summer break, 3 kids, no hob, great. On the day, I call them up as we haven't been given a time, they say that the engineer was ill, so I called the repair company (they outsource repair) and they said the booking hadn't been made properly. Person at Zanussi was so unhelpful and didn't actually listen to anything I said, just kept repeating herself over and over again. Her message was basically 'either take the delay or cancel, I don't give a F' - Obviously she knew I had no choice but to take it so what can I do.....classic case of little people with lots of power showing their true colours”
“UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE. They left us for two months without washing machine and with a small baby. Only because the engineer said it would be cheaper to repair it than replace it. The problem is that they don’t have the parts to repair it. We now have a newish washing machine under warranty broken full of water and mould inside because they don’t want to change it. And we will have to wait probably another month. This is unacceptable and disrespectful”
“Dont buy appliances here. Dont even dare. It will not make your life better it will make it worst. How come. Bought a electrive cooker stove last january then after one month its already broken. They quoted the damage and said is 1k+ aed! And damage caused by a cockroach! What an intelligent cockroach! Worst is the stove cOST 1049aed and we even bough additional warranty for 149aed that wont even cover the damage. Ive been calling them multiple times cause i need an explanation how some parts cause 1k plus aed when they just selling the cooker for 1049aed.it doesnt make same for me. And their action is slow. They said they raised my complain to their superior who is always outside or in the meeting and sometimes they refer their superior as a He and sometImeS a SHE. All of their answers are suspicious and unreasonable. So dont buy products here in BETTER LiFe cause it will make your pocket empty and your LIFE WORST”
“The glass plate on our gas hob exploded just after after use showering glass all over our kitchen and through to our hallway. Luckily we were in another room or we could have been badly hurt. The hob is just over 2 years old. The response we got from zanussi was shocking, 2 operators didn't give a toss saying no-one was hurt and it isn't their problem.”
“Completely disgusted with this company. Zanussi boilers. They cold called my elderly parents (one hard of heading, the other with vascular dementia), and pretended they were from British Gas. The salesmen that I found present in my parents house did NOT correct my mum when she told me they were from British Gas. They were sales reps working for Zanussi. They deliberately sold my vulnerable parents a "British Gas" so say boiler because they told my parents they were from British Gas. At nearly around £8,000 It was horrifically overpriced. They also gave a very nice present to themselves of a couple of hundred pounds on top of the price that it should have been, until I complained and the got the additional money back from overpricing. To my horror it is not a British Gas boiler after all. And British Gas won't touch these Zanussi boilers, so we can't get it serviced; And even worse they are far far too complicated for elderly and vulnerable people to operate. My dad needs us every time to turn it down, turn it on, turn it off. There is absolutely no way these boilers are user friendly. They are extremely illogical and difficult to use. Such a downright stupid and over-complicated design for anyone to use, let alone an elderly person on their own. It was clearly a highly aggressive sales drive by Zanussi to target the very vulnerable. The warnings signs are there very loud and clear about their unscrupulous behaviour. DO NOT BUY.”
“Terrible customer call centre. Appliance in itself is good, so far, and I went on the basis of recommendations but my experience of ringing their call centre would make me think again in the future about buying another zanussi appliance.
The virtual assistant on the call is infuriating and totally useless as you still need to provide all info when you finally get to speak to a human being after a very long wait, and possible disconnections, especially if it is close to their closing times. Never mind the fact you have been waiting for over 30mins, listening to a spa-like relaxing music that doesnt help delicates nerves much..
Every time you ring, which might be often as you get disconnected regularly, you need to go through the virtual agent but can still be passed around to three different agents. It suggests it has the ability to recognise if you have been in contact in the past but it clearly doesn’t.
It took me over a week of trying to email and call Zanussi to finally order a replacement piece for my new integrated washer dryer. I needed this because of the ridiculous design of the fixing plate meant it dropped inside the machine and cannot be retrieved, a common issue for others it would appear.
So I have a new integrated appliance but it will have taken me over two weeks before having the kitchen door adapted and fitted, and that’s not a great look meanwhile.”
“One of the worst companies ever for customer service, never again!!
In December 2019, I had a Zanussi ZC166250XA delivered, via AO. Com. From that day on, the electrics tripped at various times of the day. It could happen during cooking, whilst watching tele, at lunchtime, even at three or four in the morning! This occurred everyday, and made our lives miserable and stressful!
We started by unplugging all the electrical equipment, and plugging them back in, one by one, to see if one would trip the electric. Non of them did, so we called an electrician. He checked the wiring and electric current, which was fine, but concluded the cooker was introducing fault currents in the system!
I immediately called AO.com whom were very apologetic, and were enthusiastic to fix my cooker. They informed Zanussi/Electrolux (They are many companies under the AEG umbrella), to arrange a repair.
It took three engineers, to diagnose and fit three elements, (at separate times). The tripping stopped for just over a month, it was lovely to be able to cook hassle free.
Not long after lockdown, the tripping started again. Obviously, not happy.
Contacted Zanussi, whom arranged another engineer visit. He said the element had gone again.
By this time, I wanted a replacement as they had already been replaced, and what if they continue needing replacing, even after the guarantee runs out?
Zanussi, was having non of it and insisted a different engineer come out, which he did. He replaced the thermostat, tightened a few screws, a told me he was going to recommend a replacement! Hooray, finally, I thought!
After a few days, I hadn't heard anything, so 'll I called the repairs office, who contacted the technical department of Zanussi.
Yet again, they insisted another engineer visit!
My family and I, were distraught with anguish, as the electric tripped whenever the cooker remained switched on, at the wall. We had to turn it off after use, but sometimes this would cause it to trip!
The next engineer came, who had been twice before. He checked the cooker, and exclaimed he was scrapping it! He called 'Technical', whilst in my kitchen. The adviser, told him to ask an office member, to draw up the paperwork, and send it to them. Again, I thought it was going to be exchanged!
The next day, I called the service office, who informed me the manufacturer, want to send the head engineer, this time! Not impressed, at all! This has been happening for six months!
The head engineer, actually was two electricians. Neither of them found anything wrong, which was no surprise! I had the feeling, a while ago, that the manufacturer, did not believe that the cooker was the problem, so I filmed the fuse tripping, along with the cooker being switched on.
I showed this to the electrician, who sent it to 'Technical'. I had to wait for a decision, again!
The next day I called the service office, and was informed 'Technical,' wanted another part to be fitted, an earth leakage kit.
Enough is enough! I called AO.com, who were wonderful, apologetic (unlike Zanussi), and they felt the problem had been going on too long! They offered me a refund, or exchange, and have collected the troublesome cooker already! What a difference in companies, one with excellent customer service, one with non!
Bet you can't guess which one I would Not recommend, Zanussi, or any of it's sister companies. They have the same policies.
I paid £607 for a cooker that caused us nothing but grief!”
“I have a new built in combo microwave oven and have a lot of trouble interpreting the instruction booklet on times/power etc for cooking particular dishes. I contacted their Customer Services who took ages to reply and then just quoted the instruction manual! I wish I had bought a basic model from a firm which provided reliable backup! I wouldn’t buy from Zanussi again. Unfortunately all my appliances are Zanussi. I think my kitchen designer has shares with them.”
