“I have to state right off that I have not put this into the ground as of yet as the ground is frozen and the weather is not cooperating- but i am excited just the same as we really enjoy just watching the birds. This bird feeder is so easy to assemble, if you can actually call it assembling! It has three poles that fit into each other to make a long pole where your feeder sits on top. Now the bottom pole is to be placed in the ground about six inches to hold it straight up but as stated above, that is not going to happen with this weather. the seed reservoir (big clear tube) is about six inches in diameter and can hold a lot of seed and being clear you can easily see the seed level For days!! There are four perches for our feathered friends to enjoy their meals. Inside the seed reservoir is another plastic dish like item but that is the metering ring, which will control the flow of seed so it doesn’t overflow and you just end up wasting seed, which the other critters will get to! The big green tube on the bottom is the squirrel deterrent. It is a hollow tube so if the squirrel is smart enough to climb up the tube he will not he able to figure out a way to get to the seed because he is basically just going to be inside the tube! Genius part! The green cap on top keeps the seed in the reservoir dry. You must remember though to be sure to put this in a spot that is at least six feet from any jumping source for the squirrels- fences, tables, tree branches etc.
I can hardly wait for our weather to warm up so i can properly install this in my yard and being to enjoy watching the birds.”
“So excited to get my Birds Choice bird feeder. Easy instructions to assemble, and I didn't need my husband's help. It is very sturdy and holds quite a bit of bird seed. Cant wait to see what kind of birds it will attract as I don't live in an area where we have squirrels.”
“This is a very well made and the fact that it doesn't allow squirrels to feed is fantastic. Most of the time the squirrels eat all of the food and run off the birds. This one works perfectly and is large enough that your not having to constantly refill.”
“I can’t explain how excited I was to receive this bird feeder!! Right out the box is was very easy to install, I didn’t even need the instructions.
The style is very appealing to the eye and I liked the fact that it has a squirrel guard so they cannot eat all the bird food. I filled it up with about half a bag of food and it went in the ground nicely.
Now I just sit and wait for the birds to come!”
“This product has brought me and my Littles so much pleasure in watching. This has attracted birds to our yard where there didn't use to be any. It has offered me a different way in which to teach the various different species to my little ones. It is quite well made and sturdy.”
“We've only had it up for a short time but it seems to be a good bird feeder. The birds are able to use it, they don't appear to have trouble getting to the seed. I have not seen any squirrels try to get to the seed so far but the squirrel baffle looks like it will work as promised. Over all I would say this is a good feeder and worth getting.”
“So simple to assemble and install in my yard. This feeder has a large capacity! It can hold 5 lbs of food! It has a genius insert which keeps the feed elevated and not sitting on the bottom of the feeder getting all moldy. The insert allows the food to funnel down as the birds eat it.”
“I love the size of this feeder. Compared to my old one it is massive. Gone are the days of having to fill it every couple of days.
Speaking of filling it, the design makes refilling a breeze. Just pop off the top, fill, and replace the top. So much easier than my old one that was a hanging feeder.
Setting up the feeder was a breeze. The setup instructions are simple and easy to follow.
The simplicity of the anti-squirrel engineering is really what makes me love this feeder, though. No springs, no tension to adjust, no chance for the squirrel to gnaw a hole around the thing that drops to block the feeder hole. Just a big section of the feeder they can't climb on.”
