“I installed a pair of these shades today using an inside mount. The kit comes with hex-head screws, which stick out beyond the bracket. Using my own flush screws made installation vastly easier (Blindster: take note). I tried again and again to get the blinds to hang, but my efforts failed until I substituted flush screws on the back hole. It turns out that the non-flush hex screw heads were keeping the shade from properly locking into place on the non-spring hook. After making the change to a flush screw on the back, hanging took only one attempt.”

“Ordered a 6'ft wide by 4' high blind and mounted inside an east bedroom window. When shut, it's completely dark even in the TX morning sun. Great appearance and easy installation.”

“Now that the solar shade is up I am overall satisfied with the look. Having installed many blinds I measured just a little too long (tall). It's a good thing that I did as the cell shade when first hung ended up about 2 inches short. I had to weight down the bottom rail until it relaxed enough to actually touch the window sill. The installation would have been easier if the mounting screws would have been included in the packaging. Fortunately, having had experience in this area, I knew what to get. Still, that extra trip to the hardware store was a pain in the neck.”
