“I have wanted a sit stand desk for some time now but was concerned over the stability of them especially in the standing position. I ordered this desk and was somewhat surprised to have to wait several weeks for this product, however, it did arrive earlier than I was originally told.
When my desk arrived, it was in good condition and the top and base were packaged well and in separate containers. All parts needed and a few extras were included. Assembly of the desk took me about 35 minutes and was very straightforward with simple directions. All holes needed were pre-drilled. Some holes seemed very slightly off but not enough to make any real difficulty with assembly.
Once assembled, the desk operates very smoothly, quiet, and quickly. I was able to set presets with ease. I have been very pleasantly surprised with the stability of this desk. I am just over 5'10" and at standing height there is very little wobble without significant effort. I have attached a 4 monitor mount to the back of the desk and it has had no effect on either the stability of the desk or it's ability to raise and lower.
The only caution with this desk has nothing to do with the desk itself or the workmanship. I love my cables all tucked away, just make sure if you're like me and don't like the "rat's nest" cable look, make sure you account for the cables having to move when completing your cable management.”
“This is a very stable and solid desk. For a majority of users, this desk will be fine on its own. There is only one thing that has been a little frustrating for me: I have several things on my desk that need plugged in. I ended up getting the 24" depth in consideration for a tiny space I needed to fit in. However, between the crossbar and the hex-rod cover, there is not a ton of room for cable management. I also installed a 4 foot power strip from harbor freight underneath my desk (which works great) and this makes the lack of room even more noticeable. All in all I'm very happy with this desk.”
“This desk was really easy to assemble. The parts were stout and of high quality. This adds up to a REALLY solid desk at any height. Would definitely make this purchase again. The are only two areas of improvement:
1) I selected the semi-gloss black colored desktop. It REALLY shows finger and palm prints from skin oils. Constantly having to clean the surface. Some experimentation should be done by the manufacturer to get a more smudge proof finish.
2) When changing height of the desk using the programmable controller, one much hold the button down throughout the height changing process; that's kind of awkward. I'd much rather just tap (and release) the button to change height.
It's these two improvement areas that cause me to give 4 (vs 5) stars.”
“It takes a little patience to assemble but it is well worth it. Most of my time was spent routing cables (should have ordered the extra cable mgt kit). Make sure you get the electric controller with the 4-position memory. You will appreciate its ease of use for sure. My desktop tower sits nice and snug in the adjustable cradle add-on I purchased and moves up and down with the desk. The 24" desk is plenty sturdy at my standing height of 43" with the standard feet. Love this sturdy desk!”
