“Pros: The fabric is durable yet still feels somewhat soft. The casters are pretty standard and roll just fine on my carpet. The arm rests feel good and adjust great. The recline settings hit the right spots.
Cons: I have another steel case chair and the gas shock in this unit seems lower then the original. On assembly you have make sure the gas shock is precisely facing the right direction or it will not engage the lever to raise and lower the chair. mine twisted just a little going in and would not go up or down but thankfully BTOD has a video on how to remove the gas shock. Problem solved.
Ultimately i would recommend this chair, ive been using it for a few weeks so this is no long term review, but so far it has lived up to my expectations. Thanks BTOD!”
“Definitely worth going the refurbished route. The chair looks brand new. The only way you can tell it is refurbished is if you lay under the chair to check out the plastic on the bottom side of the seat. Otherwise, it looks flawless.”
“I am a strong believer in less waste by not buying brand new whenever possible and the BTOD in-house refurbishment process is excellent. In my estimation, the quality of the refurbishment process is 95% of purchasing new from Steelcase. Everything from the restoration / refurbishment of the core chair to the new components make it hard to distinguish from factory new to refurbished.
I had a few questions about my online purchase and called the main number. The answers were clear and follow-up via email was appreciated. Other companies should take note and show their phone number prominently on their web presence instead of making it obscure / difficult to locate.
Finally, the packaging of the chair and the fabrication of cardboard pieces specific to the chair was much appreciated and protected all the parts from potential damage in-transit. I have to say, BTOD is a top notch organization and scores high marks on everything from the website, YouTube presence, and product delivery. A true 5-star operation.”
“Super easy to assemble... the chair is comfortable, the fabric and color combo is gorgeous. It is a super high quality chair and the carpet casters actually work wonders compared to the chair I was using before.
