“Having this chair available refurbished was the only thing that made it affordable for me, so I was delighted to find it. The chair is shipped in three pieces. You put the wheel assembly on the floor, insert the pneumatic tube, and put the seat module on top. It snaps into place without any tools or adjustments. There has been a slight amount of off-gassing out of the box, but not enough to stop me from using it right away. If you are super-sensitive, set it aside for one week. However, I've actually been standing at my standing desk for over a month and am eager to sit down, so whatever. The chair adjusts in all the diverse manners demonstrated in the videos and can be individually optimized in under 5 minutes. I find it more comfortable than the popular mesh office chairs and infinitely prefer the feel of fabric. The fabric and materials used in the refurbishment feel of good quality and I'll take them at their word on the durability ratings. Got the chair in black with the hard-floor caster option. The hard-floor casters roll smoothly and quietly. The action of the back/seat when leaning back is much more natural than conventional recline mechanisms. Very happy with this purchase and only regret not going for it with a brighter color fabric. The chair is a giant, "Leap," forward from all the big-box office store chairs I've had in the past and I am grateful to have found it refurbished at under half the retail price for new.”

“Very happy with the chair. All of the adjustments function as expected, and the chair looks/feels (and smells, for what that's worth) like new. I especially like the hardwood casters--the chair rolls around smoothly.
I don't know if this is the same with a non-refurbished Leap, but I do wish the seatback had some more padding. The seat padding is great, but the back is thin enough that you can press a finger against it and feel the hard casing without applying much pressure.
That aside, I upgraded from a refurbished Ikea Markus and my body has already thanked me. Way less back pain day to day. Highly recommend.
