Refurbished Steelcase Leap v2 by BTOD, Black Frame Reviews

4.7 Rating 896 Reviews
The chair is being picked up to be returned today. I just couldn't get comfortable in it no matter how I adjusted it, even after giving it some time to get accustomed to it. It made my lower back really ache, and even with the seat fully extended outward, my legs hung off the seat too far. Also, at its lowest setting, the seat was too high. I am 5'6" and my feet weren't comfortably flat on the floor when seated. Both contributed to the low back strain. Lastly, I hated that the adjustable arms did not lock into position and constantly moved around while sitting in the chair. It was annoying.

Chair itself is ok. Was surprised by the amount of scratches on the plastic parts of the chair. The armrest pads have scuffs on them, like they came in contact with the bottom of a desk repeatedly. It was my understanding that these are supposed to be new. The upholstery is very nice and the chair is very comfortable. The chair arrived with one of the end caps on one of the adjustment handles detached. Fortunately it was easy to snap back on. I would say I was a little disappointed in the overall condition of the chair. Just seems like a chair I would pick up used on eBay.

I did a lot of research looking for a solid ergonomic chair and the Leap v2 kept coming up at the top of the charts and I'm compelled to agree. Very pleased with the chair, truly a well designed piece of furniture. Support, adjustments, padding, recline are all lovely. I'm a 5'-10" and 185lb man. The chair arrived quickly and in near perfect condition, only some minor minor scratches in a few places but nothing that would cause any concern with the price and overall quality of the chair. Very pleased with the chair and BTOD.

I've sat in racing style gaming chairs for years and always had back issues. I never believed ergonomic chair users when they said that a "proper" chair would make all the difference. When I decided to get a new chair, I realized that any "gaming" chair with any sort of decent back support was in this price range all ready and I might as well look for a better option. After searching for a while I had come across so many Leap V2 recommendations that it seemed like an obvious choice. This refurbished chair seems brand new in my eyes and so far I cant find any flaws. Highly recommend as of now. Will update review if anything changes.

I ordered two (one for my wife, one for me). They looked and operated as brand new, especially with the upgraded fabric and foam padding. With a 12 year warranty that essentially equals Steelcase manufacture warranty, purchasing brand new at twice the price makes absolutely no sense.
