Better than expected. Considering buying a 2nd chair because of how well this one turned out.

Had the piston fail within two weeks. Customer support was good and got the replacement a week later. It's a bit of a bear to get the old piston out. Fit/finish is ok but don't think "new." I have the same chair at work but they feel different. The back on this one does not adjust fluidly when I lean back and sit fwd. It's like it gets stuck until enough force builds up and then releases.

I have had back pain for many years. I work from home and I basically sit for a living so I needed to invest in my back so did some research and found this chair and the gesture. Ended up liking this one way more as the back is far more supportive and comfortable. Overall excellent chair and worth every penny, even better that it's half price for a brand new chair

The Steelcase chair was all it advertised thus far. Very comfortable and can be adjusted into a varying degree of positions to match whatever you are looking for. BTOD was a great resource for buying guides and the actual purchase of the product. The refurbished looks brand new, very easy to assemble, delivery was simple. No issues, and I've had it for about 2 months. 10/10

So, like most people, I spent many years buying cheap office chairs from the likes of Staples, Office Depot and Amazon. Wonderful stores, but the chairs, not so much. Typical lifespan was 12-18 months. And most were somewhat uncomfortable and really noisy. I decided I wanted something nice. I work from home (usually 10-12 hours days) and I have my personal setup too, so I was looking for two chairs. A little research on "the best ergonomic office chairs" quickly leads to Steelcase and Herman Miller. But I was not prepared for the prices. Two HM chairs was going to run me ~$3k and two Steelcase Leap chairs would be $2.3k. Too rich for my blood! I was almost ready to buy another best of the cheapo chairs from the big A. But I kept running into helpful videos from BTOD on YT. I wants countless videos and soon learned about the refurbishing process. The video they put out on their refurb process sold me. And I could get two chairs for about half the cost of new. So I decided to go for it and ordered two refurb Leap2's.. I had tempered my enthusiasm waiting for the chairs because, after all they were used, so I did not want to expect too much. However, what a pleasant surprise when I received them! Not only do they work great, but they literally looked brand new. I could not even find any scratches on the plastic parts. So, on YT again I watched BTOD's video about the various adjustments on the Leap2 and how to tailor the chair to you and your desk. Once adjusted it was a Ah ha! moment All I can say is that if you have been using cheaper, non ergonomic chairs without the seat depth, 4 way adjustment arms particularly and live seatback, then once you do you will understand the popularity of these chairs. I find myself not slouching much if at all during long work days. My back feels great and simple things like typing away on my computer is much more comfortable than before. My chairs are dead quiet even when I am leaning back on them. All of my old chairs would snap, crackle and pop when I did this, which was embarrassing on business zoom and Skype calls...not to mention distracting. The whole process of dealing with BTOD was great, starting with their terrific YT videos (keep em coming please), ordering process, quick shipping and even the way the chair was packed in the box and ease of assembly. I ordered the red colored fabric and the black chair frames. I love the look. And like I said you cannot tell they are not brand new chairs. The fabric looks perfect and was applied without any wrinkling etc. So, obviously, I am happy with my chairs. If you are thinking about ordering these refurb leap2's from BTOD, do it without reservation. Not to say the chair is for everyone, but I am pretty confident you won't be disappointed.

I'm not an office chair professional or anything. I was sitting in a cheap $100 gaming chair from amazon with a super firm bucket seat and almost no adjustments. That's all to say I knew for a fact that I wouldn't even be able to tell the difference between the brand new leap v2 and this refurbished model so it didn't make sense to spend the money on the brand new one. My only concern was with the gas cylinder. I was worried that the refurb might have a bad cylinder and I'd have to deal with sorting out those kinks but that hasn't been the case. I've only had the chair for about 3 weeks at this point so I don't have any long term points on it but I was really only concerned about any major inconveniences like a sinking cylinder at the start since the 12 year warranty means that if it starts sinking in 3 years I could get that replaced. Best chair I've ever sat in and I love it so far.
