“The product shipped really fast and is in fantastic condition. It looks new. I also really like the chair. Very comfortable and highly adjustable. It was almost fully assembled on arrival and took 5 minutes to setup.”
“The chair has some play in the seat slide at the start of the recline. It is a little "catchy" when straightening bck out. If I slide the seat forward a little before reclining then it does not creak.
I have a V1. The seat cushion on this refurbished chair feels thicker and softer. I don't think it is an improvement.”
“By all accounts, this is a great office chair and the refurbishing process that BTOD goes through to restore it is one of the best I have seen. From the custom packaging to the assembly, everything was smooth from start to finish. You can tell that these are refurbished due to the visual wear on certain parts such as the base or plastic backs, but they are minor at best and can easily be overlooked. In terms of the quality and construction of a refurbished Leap v2, this is a top-notch purchase, save one area that will determine whether or not you like the chair -- comfort.
The only reason I am giving this chair a 4-star rating isn't because of the the quality of the chair, but my personal level of comfort when sitting in it. The material that BTOD uses to reupholster the chair may be durable, but it is somewhat rough and not very comfortable to sit on for long periods of time. I felt this immediately after sitting in it and after a couple weeks, it still felt rough. Whatever fabric they are using needs to be changed to something softer if it to be used long term. Since I have never owned a new Steelcase Leap chair, I cannot say if the new fabric is the same of different from the original seat covering, but it definitely needs changing. It was because of this one reason, that I opted to return it and find something a bit more comfortable.
Regardless of this aspect, the refurbished Leap v2 is a great buy at the price they are offering and with a 12-year warranty, it should last you longer than anything comparable on the market.”

“I bought this char because I read the good reviews about the company but I swear these reviews are paid for or something because it's been an awful experience for me. Chair arrived 7/19/21 so I took everything out the box and read the instructions. At first, I failed to align the cylinder tab with the seat height adjustment, so I took everything off and redid it. I aligned the cylinder tab with the seat height adjustment and reassembled the chair. I sit on the chair and it starts sinking. Some users suggest getting an allen wrench to adjust it, but I have a side activated cylinder so I don't see how that's possible. And if you need support and you're on the west coast, you're screwed until the next day. Honestly should have just bought this new to avoid this hassle. If you can afford to buy new, please do it.”
