“My issues with this chair aren't about BTOD.com. Instead, they are design issues with the chair itself.
After several weeks of using it, I find it uncomfortable. The casters roll too easily on the carpet protector I have it on and the arm rests are, in a word, weird. They don't stay where you put them. To get them into a position in which they won't move around, you have to pull them all the way forward and tilt them towards the seat. Odd.
It's my fault for buying something online where fit is so personal and important.
BTOD.com responded to my first less-than-steallar post offering to take the chair back, to their credit. However, I'd thrown away the box. Plus, that was just a week or so in.
I don't know why they keep asking me to review the chair; maybe they thought time would improve my impressions. Unfortunately for BTOD.com, they keep asking for a review and I can't give them what they so obviously want -- a great review.
At the very least, I sit less at my desk which may be a good thing.”
“BTOD was amazing, 5 star for them all the way, but this review is about the product alone. For reference I am 5'7" 155lbs male. Chair is great, but I was hoping for more comfort than I get from it for the price tag. My tailbone and thighs get sore after awhile and the arm rests get in the way some times, wish they could be tucked away somehow. This chair has definitely helped with my back pain and posture, but I feel like I would have liked the Steelcase Think a bit better. Overall satisfied with this purchase, don't get me wrong, but an inkling of regret knocks it down from 5 stars.... 4.5 for sure though. Very quality item that will give me years of use.”
“I purchased this chair for my home office since my job is completely remote. This chair is essentially what I expected it to be. It is not new it is refurbished and that shows but it is in good condition and functions well. I did have a bit of an issue with the seat height adjustment when I first assembled it and customer service was very quick to respond and helpful. The one big issue I have is that the fabric used is a loose weave which means that when my cat jumps up on this chair (even though we keep his nails trimmed) he is able to pull threads. I am concerned that this will lead to rips and shorten the lifespan of this chair. If I had known that about the fabric ahead of time I would not have purchased this. At this point I just have to be careful to push in my chair when I leave the room to hopefully avoid further damage.”
