“Great light, perfect for what I need the 1200 provides enough light for the way I camp. A little skeptical of the stand. It’s mediocre at best. Should have had stakes or at least holes to stake it down. Clearly a lamp that makes you want to transition to the next level. 159.00 is a lot for this lamp especially when I have other lamps that are on the market that provide the same light with more features. Pricing could be substantially better for this lamp. Most likely the last one I will buy from Devos unless they offer some discounts on their lights. Stand is mediocre at best and having to change the light filters manually is a downfall. The light functions well but not what it could be for the money.”

“Had the pleasure of being able to use the 1200 light ranger over the weekend after purchasing it 2 weeks prior. Had it set up about 20 feet away from our picnic table and only using 1/4 of the lights for the most of the time. I was using it at that setting since it provided enough light for my use. When packing up 6 hours later I switched it to all 4 lights for 360 degree coverage and will be happy to say it is perfect for any outdoor adventurer.”

“Used on a 3 day backpacking trip in Jefferson National Forest with a group of friends. Since it can be broken down into three pieces we were able to split up the weight. This is obviously not an ultralight item but with help the extra weight is palatable. Having a powerful warm (used orange filter) light at otherwise pitch black back-country primitive campsites was so helpful for being able to function at camp in the dark. It added an element of safety to the campsite that direct light from a headlamp can't provide. The whole group was very impressed. Terrific.”

Started off with one and was very happy with the coverage of light I had to get a 2nd one! High quality stuff! It’s nice that you can remove it from the pole and use it elsewhere. “The Devos light itself is fantastic. It sheds a lot of light. However, I was expecting, for the amount of money paid, the stand to be of better quality. It feels cheap. The hardware that tightens the stand after extending it to the desired height, feels really flimsy also.
I’m not sure if Devos was trying to keep the weight of the unit down and used a thinner metal or what their thinking was. I would gladly haul around another half a pound, to have the piece of mind of the stand being burly.
All that being said, nothing as broken on the stand (yet) and I hope it stays that way.”
