I love my LightRanger 1200's. This is my 3rd. I use them for grilling at night, fishing - early morning setup and prep (before dawn.) and for working in the garage. I just got my first 2000 and can't wait to put it to use. Will also be giving some as Christmas presents.

Received my light the other day. Packaged well in a very sturdy box. Only reason I give it 4 Stars vs 5 Stars is the fact that the main head/light does not fit snugly onto the post. Their is a bit of space/play on the fitment of the head to the post, I plan to use a little teflon tape on the post to finesse a snugger fit to my liking. I also attached a rigid wire hood and lanyard to the eyelet on the top of the light to facilitate using it as a hanging light without the post/stand. The light is very bright, medium weight, and seems to be quite solidly built. Multiple light intensities is a plus also.

I really like the light. It's great for camp, and it also worked well for putting the light overhead while skinning a deer. Not having to wear a headlamp was great, and makes headlamp light discipline a non-issue.

I'm very happy with the light output of the Lightranger 1200 and the on time is fantastic. The quality of all the components is excellent.

I bought this for solo rooftop wild camping. The instagram image of sipping a beverage around a nice fire is tempting but what happens when you hear weird noises at 3am? Pitch black and your imagination runs away with itself. Wildlife walking past or axe murderer popping by. So I had made up some solar powered PIR lights which were OK but temperamental. When I saw a properly made unit from Devos I wanted it. Packs away easily, simple to set up and the PIR works very well. Tripod supports it in wind and on uneven ground. As much light as you would ever need. Now I find myself also using it when working or cooking in the dark/dusk.
