“This was my first ever birding tour, and it will not be my last. Everything was well organized and catered to everyone's abilities. The guides were amazing and kept us laughing from sun up to sun down. It was well paced with several nights at each stop, giving us a chance to really get to know the species we were seeing regularly.”

“Super good guiding. We saw more birds than I ever imagined! Itinerary was mostly appropriate for moderate tour as advertised. One day’s hiking was a little longer than anticipated, but the birds seen were spectacular. Thank you so much!”

“This was a fabulous first-time trip to Costa Rica. It was stress-free, as everything from arrival at the first hotel to airport departure was pre-arranged. Most of the hotels were good enough, and the choices of places to eat other than the hotels were excellent. Our guide, Alex Alvarado, was incredible. He really knows his stuff, and genuinely cares about the customers' experience.”

“Alex is amazing when it comes to seeing and hearing thousands of birds. In all our world travels and wildlife excursions, no one comes close to his ability and expertise and keeping the tour interesting and educational. Would only recommend this to fellow travelers if Alex were the guide. He is the "eagle eye" and "eagle ear". Encounters along trails with other groups and guides easily demonstrated that Alex was far more knowledgeable in bird detection and bird bird knowledge (habits, behaviors, location, timing, etc...) than other guides. Would only do a future tour like this with Alex.”

“This was my first tour with Eagle-Eye, and it was beyond my expectations. I felt the guides, and the chauffeur, were knowledgable and put our experience as their priority. “This was our seventh trip to Costa Rica. We chose it to see new sights and also to return to favorite locations. The trip offers a good variety of birding from comfortable lodges at a reasonable distance from San Jose. We had excellent tour leaders, Blair and Kiirsti, and Rodrigo, a wonderful driver, who joined us on our walks and shared every bird he spotted first. We also think Eagle-Eye attracts the best people to travel with.”

“Blair was very knowledgeable, passionate and helpful in locating birds and sharing information about each species. I also enjoyed his sense of humour, he made each day a fun adventure! Kirsti saved the day for us when our battery on our camera died on the most important photo opportunity on the Tarcoles river. She was kind enough to loan us her spare battery and we have some of our best photos from that day. She was also very helpful and patient in helping us locating birds and lizards while admiring the beauty of our surroundings. Also made each day a fun adventure.”
