“The itinerary on this trip provided excellent opportunities to see a great number of birds, often at close range. It is however, an intensive journey, involving significant bus travel on every second day, and for shorter distances on the other days. Our guides were very focused, finding a great number of species, and indefatigably dispensing information on the birds observed and the regions visited. This being our first trip to Costa Rica, it was at times a bit too much for us to absorb, and we gave ourselves permission to skip a couple of the shorter excursions.”
