The list of owls present during most winters is very impressive; Great Gray, Great Horned, Snowy and Northern Hawk-owl, with always a possibility of Eastern Screech-owl, Short-eared Owl and Northern Saw-whet Owl. “Great tour and excellent guides. We saw nearly all owl species in the region on the very first day. The Boreal Owl was elusive which is not untypical. 2 things I wish were different- I wish the guides used the scope more often. That would have helped with the grouse. Secondly, many of us are not conscious of how cold -7F is. Some indication that this could occur would have helped us plan for that one day when temperatures were extremely low. All in all, a fabulous trip. Will definitely go with Eagle Eye again!!”

“Ken, Josh and Mitch were amazing guides. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Extra efforts were made to try and locate a Boreal Owl. I mentioned my goal was to hit 700 lifetime species and they were very excited for me when that goal was reached.”

“Great Tour, great guides, good accommodations! Saw several different owls: the Snowy and Great Gray were awesome!!! We went night owling and they called in a Saw-Whet owl…what an awesome experience! I plan to book with this company again, as they take really good care of you…”

“It was thrilling to witness Snowy, Great Gray, Barred & Great Horned owls (& an owlet!) in their natural habitat plus get great views of red polls, magpies, pine siskins grosbeaks and boreal chickadees. Our guides Josh, Mitch & Ken worked hard each day to locate birds for our group. The porcupine, otter and lots of deer were a bonus. My fellow travellers were a delight to be around with good chats in the van and over meals, we all had a great time.”
