Feb 23 - 27, 2026 | Southeastern Manitoba has become one of the premier locations on the continent for locating northern forest owls. The list of owls present during most winters is very impressive; Great Gray, Great Horned, Snowy and Northern Hawk-owl, with always a possibility of Eastern Screech-owl, Short-eared Owl and Northern Saw-whet Owl. Join us on a bird watching adventure as we search for these beautiful birds.

“It was thrilling to witness Snowy, Great Gray, Barred & Great Horned owls (& an owlet!) in their natural habitat plus get great views of red polls, magpies, pine siskins grosbeaks and boreal chickadees. Our guides Josh, Mitch & Ken worked hard each day to locate birds for our group. The porcupine, otter and lots of deer were a bonus. My fellow travellers were a delight to be around with good chats in the van and over meals, we all had a great time.”

“It was an excellent birding trip in Southern Manitoba. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. I had the opportunity to view a few lifers. It was a pleasure to spend the week with some lovely individuals that share similar interests.”

“It was very organized, the participants were lovely and we saw owls and all sorts of other birds. The vans were comfortable and we were never crowded. Manitoba is beautiful.”

“It was a great trip! I worried that I might freeze or slip and fall but I followed tour advice and had plenty of clothes plus my poles which I never really needed. We were driven through and to great birding spots and I was amazed and delighted with all the birds we saw. Fun people, very experienced guides. I would highly recommend.”
