Feb 23 - 27, 2026 | Southeastern Manitoba has become one of the premier locations on the continent for locating northern forest owls. The list of owls present during most winters is very impressive; Great Gray, Great Horned, Snowy and Northern Hawk-owl, with always a possibility of Eastern Screech-owl, Short-eared Owl and Northern Saw-whet Owl. Join us on a bird watching adventure as we search for these beautiful birds.

“As a novice birder, the trip was great! While we may have been out most of the day, we were mostly in the car as we searched for birds of interest or head to our next destination. Josh and other tour members were great at spotting birds from the car. When someone sees a something, Josh will pull over on the road (when he can) and he'd confirm whether it's an owl or not. Josh was able to answer any questions I've had regarding birds/owls that we've seen. Meeting Oska, the Great Gray Owl, was very impressive! The presenation given by Jim was very informative, and it's too bad that we weren't able to find one out in the wild!”

“Great tour and excellent guides. We saw nearly all owl species in the region on the very first day. The Boreal Owl was elusive which is not untypical. 2 things I wish were different- I wish the guides used the scope more often. That would have helped with the grouse. Secondly, many of us are not conscious of how cold -7F is. Some indication that this could occur would have helped us plan for that one day when temperatures were extremely low. All in all, a fabulous trip. Will definitely go with Eagle Eye again!!”

“Ken, Josh and Mitch were amazing guides. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Extra efforts were made to try and locate a Boreal Owl. I mentioned my goal was to hit 700 lifetime species and they were very excited for me when that goal was reached.”

“Great Tour, great guides, good accommodations! Saw several different owls: the Snowy and Great Gray were awesome!!! We went night owling and they called in a Saw-Whet owl…what an awesome experience! I plan to book with this company again, as they take really good care of you…”
