“I bought this CORE to see if it would connect with my hearing aids. It does work, but for some reason subsequent connections connect with the audio low and unusable. I have to close out the app completely and go through the reconnect process and sometimes I get the volume back. This is not entirely practical in an EMS environment. I am using an iPhone SE and Widex hearing aids. The sound graph shows normal volume, but I am not hearing it. So I don't know if this is due to my phone or the scope. I have a significant high-frequency loss. I tried using the scope normally without the Bluetooth hearing aid connection. The cardiac sounds are better than anything I have ever used, but the lung sounds I really want to hear are not that great. One of the Eko advertisement emails I got showed the CORE device and bell only, which I thought would be handy if Bluetooth worked. One of the reps told me before I bought it said that the stethoscope earpieces are not intended to be removed. So I went back and looked at the email and it looks like the output tubing connector on the CORE was removed and taped over. If I can get the Bluetooth to work consistently, I would do the same thing.”

“I’ve been looking at Eko products for the past several years keeping an eye on their innovation. I decided on the CORE given my familiarity with the Littman Cardiology stethoscope since medical school. As I’ve grown older the hearing is not the same so sometimes I need amplification. And, that along with the Eko software I feel more comfortable in my auscultation as well as cardiac diagnosis. My patients are impressed when I run a cardiac exam on them while they see the phonocardiogram in real time. As someone who embraces technology this is a valuable product not only to those who’ve been in practice for some time but also those just starting out, medical students and residents alike.”

“I got my Littmann Core for my EMT class and it's been the best decision I've made! Even with a room full of loud people I can still hear my pt lungs. I would highly recommend the 3M Littmann core to anyone who is hard of hearing or to anyone who is looking for a rock star of a stethoscope!”
