I am a LVT with several years practice. Now I find I need a digital stethascope. I have tried several. The EKO core has marvelous sound quality. The ECK is not really tuned to veterinary practice. Every quiver or breath shows as ECG interference. Over all economical for what it does.

I am an audiologist and ordered the EKO Core amplifying attachment for a patient of mine who is a nurse to try. She was thrilled with the improvement noted using her personal stethoscope with this attachment. I am now recommending this amplifying attachment for any of my patients who work in the medical field and comment on difficulty with using a stethoscope.

My recent acquiring of the EKO Core stethoscope has been a great step forward in my clinical critical care practice so far. I am able to share my clients (with there consent) heart valve sounds & adventitious pulmonary sounds with my colleagues and new hires on the cardiac-surgical ICU where I practice. I appreciate the easy use of the mobile app on my iPhone of the sound tracing’s that is a great visual aid. I also appreciate the quality of sound that is still achieved in the analog mode and the ease of going back and forth between the digital and analog setting. I am quite pleased with my purchase and look forward to years of use

It’s been great using Eko this last month. The analogue acoustics are as good as any other high quality stethoscope, but the digital quality is exceptional. It’s a nice to be able to download recordings of auscultations and attach them to patient files to track something like a heart murmur over time. Clients also enjoy being able to hear and see their pets’ heart beats when explaining different conditions. There are just a few gripes I have. Sometimes the Core doesn’t turn on when switched on (turning off and on usually fixes this), exiting out of a recording playback through the stethoscope will sometimes result in an extremely loud noise that only stops when the Core is turned off, and the device often doesn’t connect to the app without manually connecting it. These aren’t severe enough to really be an issue, but it’s definitely something that should be looked into.

I hear things I have never heard before. It works great in a noisy environment like the emergency department.

I really like the overall stethoscope. The digital portion takes some getting used to, and is better if used under and not over clothing. Overall I like it and am happy.
