It doesn’t all Littmann stethoscopes. I used the adapter for it to fit. Other than that, it’s been great to hear heart and lungs over my tinnitus. But, It also makes increases artifact volume

Overall it is a helpful device for detecting subtle changes in heart sounds, besides murmurs, e.g. S4. However, I find that the device sometimes hums whenthe volume is loudest....an electrical artifact, I presume...which is a serious distraction and was completely unexpected. It doesn't do that every time I use it. But it's an important flaw if you happen to be unlucky enough to buy one of these that does that. Most disappointing for me personally is that the phone app advertised for Android phones won't install on my LG phone the G5 which was LG's flagship phone..the .company's best phone when I bought it. The phone is 5 yrs old. I have installed the Eko Windows app onto my Windows 10 computer but that version is not supported by Eko and no evaluation about the sound tracings can be obtained, e.g. murmur, atrial fib, other arrhythmias, unlike what is available with the phone app. I was very disappointed with Eko's lack of support for the use of computers to collect and store the original data from the Core and Eko's assessment of the data for each patient's heart sound tracing, which the phone app can do. Overall, I am able to appreciate some sounds I might have missed with my standard stethoscope. But the presence of an intermittent hum when listening to a patient is distracting and in my opinion, even though intermittent, is a serious flaw. I wish Eko would replace the device. I had it engraved ( a BIG mistake, don't do it. See below.) so I am not sure it is returnable even though it sometimes hums and interferes with my assessment of my patient's heart and lungs sounds.

In the short time I have had it, it's worked excellent. I wish I would have bought it sooner.

The amplification is amazing!!!! I can hear details I never could before. The attachment fit right into my existing Littmann steth, so I saved $100+ by just getting the attachment. The app was easy to set up and use, but I'm wondering if it's not a HIPPA violation to record onto my own device, so I'm not sure if the practical, work-related applications of linking it to the app. It will still benefit my patients that I can hear better!

I have both the Eko DUO and the Eko CORE Digital Attachment on my Littmann Master Cardiology (which I have had for about 15 years). Both devices interface seamlessly with the app. In many ways, I actually prefer the familiarity of having my Master Cardiology in my ears, even though the CORE lacks the EKG feature of the DUO. Both the DUO and the CORE allow the user to initiate a recording from the device. Both devices also allow the user to initiate an exam from the app. I’d recommend the CORE Digital Attachment to anyone considering an upgrade to an old stethoscope that has sentimental value that is going to be kept in service. The ability to record and create a shareable PDF with linked audio is really great.
