“The attachment constantly unscrews and falls off my stethoscope which is annoying. There is a sound difference but not as dramatic or noticable as I was expecting. For the price I'm 50/50 if I would buy it again.”

“How to give a 4.8… First of all for the job it does a solid 5 stars! The audio is amazing, period. As a colleague who tried it out said, “it’s like I’ve never heard a true breath sound before”. It’s so clear that I joke I can hear the actual gas exchange at the alveoli. The only downside is the hardware. For context I work in Emergency / Trauma /critical care, as well as pre-hospital. These shortfalls obviously doesn’t keep me from using it or loving it, but I feel it could be improved to reduce my fear of harming it. As the attachment is an “add on” to an existing stethoscope, options are provided to fit both adult and peds size scopes. This is screwed in to the attachment with a very short screw. Unfortunately this screw has come unscrewed a few times while wearing it (around my neck) under normal use despite frequent hand tightening causing the bell and the attachment to fall to the floor without warning. I have fixed this issue by applying a very small drop of Loctite Threadlock (available at any hardware store, use the blue “removable” version) and since have had no problems. Perhaps EKO can include a very small application of this with future orders. The second shortfall is the on / off button. I love the size of it and the firm “snap” of on vs off when toggled. However, given that my job is often high speed / lots of motion, and that a frequently carry my scope in a pocket or on my hip, the button is often toggled inadvertently causing it to remain on and empty the battery. It has also been turned on while in a case while not in use. I suggest that future or an alternative model has a sliding lock that prevents the button from being toggled on accidentally; it should also auto engage the lock when toggled off. Third, the charging port has no cover on it, I worry that repetitive cleanings and standard use will cause cleaners, or worse “gunk” to collect in the port. Perhaps a small rubber seal could be on the aforementioned alternative model. I would also like to see options of buying a color matched tube connecting the attachment to the bell. Clearly Eko works with Littman; having these Littman colors would be wonderful for the aesthetics, especially for brighter (not black) colors. I would easily pay $5 - $10 for this option. Again none of these will prevent me from using it, loving it, or recommending it. Just think it could be a bit more “real world”.”

“Mine start to crack after 6 months use this is a design issue because same thing happens to my friend Eko her actually crack open. Very unfortunate because this is not a cheap product yet come with cheap plastic”

“I am a 50 year-old former Marine so you already know my hearing is nearly gone. I went with the attachment because I already had a Cardiology III Littman. The clarity is amazing and extremely easy to install. I also love the ability to record the sounds with the app. Best piece of medical equipment I've ever purchased in my 17 years in EMS. This will be especially useful for flight.”
