I am an outpatient cardiac rehab nurse. Much like trying to read EKG strips without my bifocals (due to overlapping EKG boxes and over 40 eyes) my aging ears were having difficulty while obtaining a peak BP. With all the background sounds associated with a cardiac rehab environment, I was having trouble with differentiating running footsteps apart from a racing heart beat. Eko has solved my problem! Now, I can distinctly separate the two sounds and have complete confidence in my BP readings! So exciting!!!

The first one I bought was for myself for nursing school and my current job as a paramedic in the Emergency Room. This one was for my wife that is a Correctional Nurse that works in a noisy inviroment that has a lot of echoes because of the acoustics of the building. She says it has made her job better now that she can hear so much better when assessing inmates. I have also promoted sales of this product at work due to the amazing product that this is. I joke all the time about I need compensation for promoting your product, but your product is so easy to promote from the first time when someone uses it. Most have nice and expensive Stethoscopes already, so I promote adding this attachment to make it even better... I did to both of my purchases...

Started my career in ems, and after a few years in the cab, my hearing started diminishing a bit. Went to medical school and found I couldn’t hear heart sounds as well as other students. Later on I saw an ad for this attachment and I was initially a little skeptical but decided why not. Let me say, it really does amplify sounds so much. I use a cardiology 3 littman scope. The hardest part of the set up was pulling the bell off. Now I’m the clinic, everything is so much clearer and I really am happy I spent the money.

The Eko Core has been a wonderful addition to my nursing tool belt. I'm a licensed veterinary technician that work with all sorts of animals in a loud environment and the Eko Core allows me to hone in on what I really need to listen to. From obtaining vitals, triaging patients, or listening to my patient under anesthesia, the Eko Core allows me to free up my hands and listen to the patient all while being able to do other things for my patient. Especially critical patients where we would like constant monitoring on what the heart is doing, the Eko Core has become a welcome addition for anesthetic monitoring. The only problem I have with the Eko Core are the attachments to the tubing. The screw-in portions have a tendency of unscrewing themselves and the attachment from the Eko Core PVC tubing to the valve stem tends to slowly slip out of place after a long day of use. Otherwise the device serves its purpose and I would recommend this product for every medical profession

This really helps and is easy to use. I do wonder if my murmur grading system may be hypersensitive. This may in reality not make much difference since i tend to Echo all murmurs.

I’m a respiratory therapist on a neo-peds Critical Care Tranpsort team for Stanford Lucille Packard team (Palo Alto,CA) our team is responsible for picking up, stabilizing and getting back patients safely to our facility. Our mode of tranport (ground, rotor, fixed-wing) varies based on patient clinical severity. The “Core” attachment along with my AirPods is a game changer as it has allowed me to truly assess lung sounds especially in a very noisy environment (e.g., back of ambulance, rotor blades sound, pressure aircraft) allowing me to treat patients with greater confidence vs my traditional stethoscope. Excellent concept !!!
